UC & CSU ADMISSION TRANSFER TIMELINE
Now
Access the UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP)
TAP is a tool that helps you track your progress toward meeting UC's minimum requirements. The TAG is embedded
in the TAP. The self-reported information contained in the TAP/TAG tool may be imported (populated over) into the
UC application.
*NOTE: the TAP allows UC staff to communicate important information to applicants.
August 1, 2021
Access the UC Application on August 1st.
Submission period opens in November.
September 1-30, 2021
Apply for a UC TAG (UC Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, & Santa Cruz).
*NOTE: UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC San Diego do NOT participate in TAG.
October 1-November 30, 2021
Apply to California State University (CSU) system: Use Cal State Apply (1 application for entire CSU system)
*NOTE: Some CSU's have supplemental applications in addition to the standard system-wide application.
October 1- March 2, 2022
Filing period for the Federal Student Aid - FAFSA or the California Dream Act
November 1-30, 2021
Apply to TAG University and any other UC campus (including UCB, UCLA & UCSD)
TAG Decisions will be provided by UCD, UCM, and UCSC by mid-November
During the month of January, 2022
Update UC application with fall grades & spring 2021 "in-progress" courses.
The "UC Transfer Academic Update" (TAU) website closes on March 31rst. Priority deadline is January 31rst.
*NOTE: after March 31rst academic changes must be reported directly to each UC campus.
January 1- March 2
Filing period for Cal Grant Verification
NOTE: Filing for FAFSA & California Dream Act ends March 2.
March - May 1
UC Admissions Notification (UCSB begins notifying mid-April & UCB & UCLA typically late April).
CSU Admission notifications vary by campus.
On or before June 1
Submit UC Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to accept/deny offer of admission. CSU campuses vary.
NOTE: Check your EMAIL OFTEN for campus updates & deadlines. Also, check your specific campus portal accounts.
By July 1
Official transcripts: Check your individual student accounts for details & submit official transcripts (HS/College).
By July 15
(IGETC, AP, etc.): Certification is completed in a scheduled appointment with a MC Counselor.
Summer/Fall 2023 Matriculate (Enroll) at your preferred university!

TRANSFER CONSIDERATIONS

Check out specific college Transfer Guides and checklists found on college websites that you plan to
attend.
September: begin researching scholarships available at transfer institutions, by looking at the
universities’ web sites.
October 1-November 30: attend a CSU Application Workshop, and apply online for admission to CSU.
Attend a UC Personal Statement Workshop and begin writing your UC personal statement.
November 1-30: attend a UC Application Workshop and a UC Personal Statement Workshop, and apply
online for admission to UC.
The UC application will go online October 1, but cannot be submitted until November 1.
Submit it early in November! Don’t wait until the last day!
January: update your UC application online to include fall semester grades, and courses planned for
winter session/spring semester, at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions.
Order your official Moorpark College transcripts through your VCCCD Student Portal and send your
official transcript to CSU, showing fall semester grades when requested.
January-February: attend a TAP certification workshop for UCLA.
January 1 – March 2: fill out and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at
www.fafsa.gov.
The Financial Aid Office is available virtually.
February: Meet with a Counselor to complete your Graduation Application (AA/AS degree).
March 1 – May 1: universities will send admissions letters to students or will post admissions notices on
their campus web sites.
May: attend Moorpark College Graduation Ceremony and the Career Transfer Center’s Transfer Social.
Participate in the Transfer Center's Wall of Fame.
June 1: submit your SIR (Statement of Intent to Register) if planning to attend a UC campus, as well as
making sure you send transcripts if requested by specific college campus you plan to attend.
June (end of semester): order your official transcript with spring semester grades if planning to attend
a CSU campus.
End of semester: request IGETC or CSUGE certification. This is separate from your final transcript
request.
July 15: deadline to submit your final transcripts from all institutions attended (including spring
semester grades) if planning to attend a UC campus.
July-August: CSU campuses have varying deadlines to submit final transcripts. Pay attention to the
deadline date of the CSU you will attend. Failure to submit transcripts by the deadline could result in
the cancellation of your admission.

Deadline for admitted transfer students to submit Statement of Intent to
Register (SIR).
JULY 2022
Final, official transcripts must be postmarked or electronically submitted on or
before July 1.
Official AP, IB examination scores must be submitted by July 15

CSU REMINDERS
APPLY
Complete and submit CSU application between October 1 –December 15, 2021 @
www.calstate.edu/apply.
Financial aid applications open October 1, 2021. FAFSA/Dream Act priority
deadline March 2, 2022.
*Students applying to certain CSU's should check the specific college's transfer
student checklist for more details.
AFTER APPLYING
Create CSU Portal account. An email will be sent with directions from the
university(ies) in which you’ve applied.
Check email and portal frequently (at least once a week)!
JANUARY 31, 2022
Update CSU Application with fall 2021 grades and make any necessary changes
to spring 2022 courses. Please use the following guide as a resource and update
your Cal State Apply application by January 31st. CSU - Transfer Academic

FEBRUARY 1, 2022
Request and send all official transcripts from every college attended & send
test scores (AP, IB, etc.) to CSU. Not all CSU’s require an initial transcript, refer
to your university email and/or portal(s).
MARCH 15, 2022
ADT Verifications: Community College staff will electronically verify ADTs by
March 15, 2022. If you stated you'd receive an ADT on your application, there is
nothing you will need to complete, as this is done by the transfer counselors. If
you'd like to verify whether you are on the list, please email or call the MC
Transfer Center.
MARCH – JUNE 1, 2022
Submit “Intent to Register/Deposit” to the campus of choice by the posted
deadline, refer to your email and university portal(s).
Register for new student orientation.
LATE JUNE - EARLY JULY, 2022
Request and send final transcripts by the campus deadline.
