DAY 1: 5 APRIL 2023
We will be winging our way to Brussels in Belgium
DAY 2: 6 APRIL 2023
On arrival at Brussels airport, we will be transferred to
our centrally-located hotel. After checking in, you will
have time to unpack and relax.
Later in the afternoon we will treated to a guided
walking tour of the city. We will take in sights like the
cheeky Manneken Pis statue and stroll around the Grand
Place, voted the most beautiful square in the world.
Dinner is a great introduction to traditional Belgian
cuisine, with a welcome dinner and an opportunity to
mingle with your fellow travellers.

DAY 4: 8 APRIL 2023
Today a busy day awaits. After breakfast we depart for Bruges.
On the way we will stop to view the impressive, metallic spheres

They have been pouring beers since 1515! The Belgian potato fry is one of the products that is most characteristic of Belgian culinary expertise. We will pay an entertaining visit to the Frietmuseum - where we will find out that “french fries” are actually Belgian! After checking in at our hotel, will spend the evening at leisure. This morning, before we depart, we will indulge our senses at The Chocolate Line, famous for the interesting chocolate flavours they produce, such as their Tequila chocolate. We then depart for the vibrant city of Ghent. Known for its open, rebellious, and innovative attitude, Ghent is one of the most beautifully preserved medieval towns in Europe and often dubbed the ‘Manhattan of the Middle Ages,’ as during that time, the population was the largest in Europe north of the Alps, after Paris.

The city offers a fascinating cultural mix of medieval heritage and
modern urban life.
The day will be spent at leisure, so why not stroll through the
historical streets of the city and marvel at the gorgeous architecture
and medieval charm. You will soon see how the city got its
cosmopolitan reputation.
This evening we will meet at the famous ‘beer café’, De Dulle Griet,
home to the biggest beer collection in Belgium. We will be treated to
a festive evening of beer and platters of food.

DAY 10: 14 APRIL 2023
After breakfast, we journey to the small village of Marken, where we
will board a boat and enjoy the views on a 30 minute ride across the
Isjsselmeer to the charming fishing village of Volendam. Enjoy Dutch
“poffertjes” (small pancakes) on the harbour boulevard and visit a
Cheese Factory to watch cheese been made and have a little taste as
well!
We then board the bus to the picturesque little town and open-air
museum of Zaanse Schans. This little town is home to the De Kat
paint mill.

Our last day includes a visit to the Rijksmuseum situated in the
beautiful Museumplein. Take some time to feast your eyes on
Rembrandts’ famous painting, “The Night Watch,” as well as other
masterpieces by artists like Vermeer.
