Both Club Orientació Catalunya and the City Council want to welcome you to Barcelona. We are hoping you will have a pleasant stay amongst us and truly enjoy the races we are preparing for you. The TIC BCN trophy was born as a team competition in which a couple of foreign top level national teams were invited, thus setting a stage where the senior and junior Catalan teams could train and improve their technical abilities by competing against the best. In 2006, the trophy coincided with the last event of the Catalan Cup. The 2008 edition saw the presence of the English national team, and it was also when the competition was opened for the first time to Catalan club teams. This year, on its 9th edition, we are preparing an event open to everybody with two programmed races: 31/10/2015- Middle distance race at the seafront of Barcelona. 01/11/2015 - Long distance downtown City Race Euro Tour. The nearest airport, 15 km. away from Barcelona, is Barcelona El Prat, located in el
Prat de Llobregat, and served by the most important airlines. The Girona airport is
also available (80 km) away.

INSCRIPCIONS Registration will be through online platforms FABIAN 4 before 23/10/2015 and Orienteering on line before 16/10/2015. Price € 15 per race Price for both € 30 (includes T-shirt) Price T-shirt € 10 Temporary license € 3 (if needed) for all categories and ages Rent Sportident € 4 TIMING All categories, including beginners, are controlled through the Sportident system. In the promotion categories, electronic card will be left with no cost (just a deposit) other categories must rent it for € 4. START POINT To access the start a pre-departure, must be passed. Call up will be at minus --minutes to start. The starting procedure is as follows: -4- Minutes: pre-departure -3 Minutes: clean and check -2 Minutes: last instructions and control description -1 Minute: reception map 0 Start There will be a direct route for runners who arrive late at the start and that can only be used if authorized by the Starts Commissioner. ARRIVAL Upon arrival finish SportIDENT base must be punch and deliver the map that will be placed in bags with the chest number written on the back and ordered by clubs and countries. All competitors should then address to the finish tent to unload the SportIDENT chip to the computer that records the results. If the chip has been rented it has to be returned. In case of lost, 35€ will be charged. There will be refreshments available for all runners POINTS TO CONSIDER - Car Traffic: The traffic will not be cut. Although traffic will be limited to these areas, it is very important to watch every time you cross the streets. Please respect necessarily neutralized cross that will be monitored by the staff of the organization and the system Sportident regulated. Pedestrian crossings regulated by traffic lights must also be respected. - First aid and ambulance. At the competition center there will be an ambulance prepared to make any evacuation if necessary. In case of evacuation of any runner injured will be transferred to the Hospital del Mar. - Works: It runs in urban terrain, and it is possible that works that do not exist at the time of printing the map, may appear at the time of making the race. Similarly, the Parks and Gardens can change the green zone of the long run if they work in an unexpected area. - Storage: COC staff will improvise a place where bags and objects can be leave, but they will not be responsible. - Showers: Since the race on Saturday will be at a sports venue there will be the opportunity to take a shower. - WC Cabinets - Refreshments: apart from public fountains that area long the circuit, there will be a refreshment point at the end of the race. - Footwear: Metal studs shoes are not recommended. Versatile footwear is advisable.Sand, wood, bricks, asphalt and metal plates are stepped ... if you do not watch out you can fall in the water!! - Babysitting: There will be a nursery to care for runners children while running. Remember that all parents with children at an early age can make a request at the time of registration, request tee times separated from their partners. NEUTRALIZED PATHS There will be required neutralized paths by traffic lights that must be respected by regulation, either for the safety of the runners, for others and civility. VERY IMPORTANT: At every neutralized path there will be two controls, one before the traffic light and another across the street. The first control will neutralize the time before crossing the street, and the second, after crossing the street, will turn it back on. The maximum time interval between the first and second punch can not exceed 1 '30' '. Beside each control there will be a clock so everyone can control the neutralized time. If any runner punches the second control after 1’30” it will be added, upon arrival, the exceeded time Since the race will take place in a city with a lot of traffic, you must be careful with cars circulating on the streets, always respecting traffic rules and being respectful with pedestrians. COMPLAINTS Given the type of race, it is established that no circuit will be nullify by the disappearance of a control. In front of a claim for this reason, the technical jury can decide to nullify sections defined by the appealed control. Therefore, all runners must consider the opportunity to finish the race even if they find problems due to the accessibility of the public or organizational errors. Complaints, if any, must be submitted in writing before the awards ceremony.
