Additional version of AutoCAD With the optional filter for AutoCAD, you can translate CAD drawings conveniently and efficiently in Transit. With Service Pack 13, you can also offer translations for AutoCAD 2020: • Transit supports AutoCAD R13, AutoCAD R14 and AutoCAD 2000 through AutoCAD 2020 • Fast and consistent translation of updated drawings thanks to translation memory—even without CAD and AutoCAD expertise • Simple data exchange via DXF files • Less translation effort thanks to focus on the translation-relevant layers © STAR Group • Correct part and product drawings thanks to multilingual terminology support
Additional version of InDesign With the optional filter for Adobe InDesign, you can translate DTP documents conveniently and efficiently in Transit. With the latest plug-ins for InDesign, you can also offer translations for InDesign CC 2020: • Transit supports InDesign CS2 to InDesign CC 2020 (Mac and Windows) • Simple data exchange via the InDesign Gate plug-in • Use Transit to exchange individual documents, entire InDesign books, or the complete contents of folders • Automatically generate PDFs for the integrated PDF display in Transit © STAR Group
KantanMT as an additional MT service Machine Translation (MT) supports translators with additional, automatically generated translation suggestions. As of Service Pack 13, Transit supports the KantanMT machine translation system – in addition to the systems that are already supported: • Editor MT • For online services • Interactive MT request in the Transit Editor for individual segments • Supports DeepL Pro, Google Translate, KantanMT, Microsoft Translator, MyMemory • Import MT • For customer-specific trained systems © STAR Group • Automatically generated translation suggestions on import • Supports STAR MT, Asia Online, SmartMATE, Systran
Formatted Microsoft Translator translation Since Service Pack 8, Transit has also supported Microsoft Translator in order to generate additional machine translation suggestions. With Service Pack 13, the interface has been developed further, providing translators with even greater support when using Microsoft Translator: • Microsoft Translator can now generate MT suggestions with Transit markups. • The formatting of the source language is automatically transferred to the machine translation. • No reformatting is required (e.g. for words in italics or for sections of text that contain hyperlinks). © STAR Group
Data exchange with STAR CLM via WebDAV With WebTransit, you can easily receive translation jobs from STAR CLM and exchange information. Enhanced spellcheck Transit supports multiple sources for spell-checking your translations, including the freely available OpenOffice dictionaries. With Service Pack 13, the OpenOffice dictionaries that are included with the program have been updated and expanded: • Over 40 updated OpenOffice dictionaries, as well as Gaelic (Scotland) as an additional language • In total, spellcheck dictionaries for 80 languages and language variants are automatically installed. • Transit offers four sources as the basis for the spellcheck: • OpenOffice dictionaries (freely available) • Microsoft Word dictionaries (if Microsoft Office is installed) • Project dictionaries (specialized terminology from TermStar) © STAR Group • Reference files (spelling in the reference material)
J2450 quality rating for all projects J2450 is a standardized metric for assessing translation quality. As of Service Pack 13, you can rate all translation projects in accordance with J2450; this no longer needs to be enabled by the project manager. • Segments can be rated via the context menu or key combination • Supports the established J2450 codes for type and severity • The quality rating of the active segment is displayed in the Segment info window • Detailed assessment in the quality report (optional function) © STAR Group
Additional check for "Rapid entry" You can use "Rapid entry" to quickly and easily add terminology to your project dictionary. When you do so, the plausibility of your entry is checked automatically. With immediate effect, Transit will also check whether the source- and target-language terms are identical. • Prevents accidental incorrect entries • Adds to the existing QS functions of the "Rapid entry": • Check for identical terms (prevents duplicates) • Check for dictionary-specific entry verification (guarantees the completeness and consistency of the entry) © STAR Group
Additional MSSQL version and drivers Transit supports numerous databases and can therefore be flexibly integrated into your system environment. Easily compress Access databases When carrying out intensive terminology work with Access databases, it can be useful to compress the databases.
