2 thurrock.gov.uk/theatre Thurrock’s Great Little Theatre 3 Welcome to Thameside Theatre EVENT 2019 I’m delighted to present another great line up of shows for you to enjoy over the next six months. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, with a wide variety of shows ranging from musicals including Contents the Sound of Music, to the CBeebies Twirlywoos, to international dance from Gaelforce to the Beautiful Mind Cinema Club who provide dementia-friendly film screenings. Cinema Offer Pg 4 - 5 As well as the more than 30 professional shows at the Thameside, Families and Children Pg 6 - 11 there are several weeks of amateur performances such as the Thurrock Gang Show (one of the longest running in the UK), and opportunities for local children to perform including the Schools Dinner and Theatre Experience Pg 12 - 13 Shakespeare Festival and the Thurrock Music Services Live Lounge. Professional Shows and Tribute Acts Pg 14 - 21 We recently started showing children’s films during the school Highlights holidays, to offer parents even more local choice at a reasonable Comedy Pg 19 price. Our ‘Wicked Wednesdays’ have proved so popular that we Wicked are making them a regular in this year’s line-up.
