FOx BIOSYSTEMS The White FOx Innovative fiber-optic-based surface plasmon resonance combining the performance of SPR with the ease of use of a dip-in sensor to bring maximum flexibility, control and insight to your research and development.
FOx BIOSYSTEMS Instrument Features of the White FOx: • Ease of use of a dip-in sensor • Precision and speed of surface plasmon resonance • No fluidics: no clogging, no cleaning • Interchangeable probes for easy protocol switching • Multiple targets with one device: proteins, antibodies, nanobodies, complex particles, microvesicles, etc. • Highly robust and versatile • Fast time-to-result • Reduced hands-on time • Cost-effective compared to competing biosensor technologies Fiber-optic surface plasmon resonance
FOx BIOSYSTEMS Software FOx BIOSYSTEMS • Software is an important part of the FO-SPR package. Protocols are easy to create and change on the White FOx software without needing programming skills. An intuitive, visual interface makes it simple to set up, 618 adapt and save protocols, depending on the assay requirements. Simply save 615 612 and retrieve a protocol and edit the parameter or sequence step you want to 609 Wavelenth (nm) 606 603 change, while leaving the rest of the sequence untouched. You can follow the 600 597 sensorgrams in real time or leave the run unattended and collect the FOx BIOSYSTEMS 594 0 500 1000 1500 2000 Time 2500 3000 3500 4000 4500 completed data later. • Its open data format offers users the ability to perform data analysis with standard data-handling software, offering the freedom to analyze data in a personalized manner. • A data processing tool makes it easy to select and group the curve sequences of interest and export data to Excel.
FOx BIOSYSTEMS Probes With generic carboxyl surface chemistry, the FO-SPR probes can be coupled with a range of compounds. Customize your probes to your needs for label-free detection and kinetic analysis of biomolecules, including proteins, antibodies, nanobodies, large particles, microvesicles, DNA and more. Add biotin binding surfaces for flexible assays. Combined with gold nanoparticles, fast sandwich assays provide sensitive quantification. FOx BIOSYSTEMS Applications Label-free Fast sandwich Kinetics Crude matrices Large particles quantification assays or blood and vesicles of protein and antibodies
FOx BIOSYSTEMS Easy even for challenging samples The fiber-optic probe setup allows a fluidics-free dip-in protocol for the analysis of specific biomolecule binding directly in complex samples such as lysates, whole blood or large particles. • Minimal sample processing • No clogging, no cleaning. FO-SPR can accurately detect antibodies in dried blood spots. The therapeutic drug antibody, infliximab (IFX), was spiked into blood and dried. The IFX concentration from the extract using FO-SPR correlated well with results using ELISA. Lu et al. (2017) Immunoassay for detection of infliximab in whole blood using a fiber-optic surface plasmon resonance biosensor. Anal. Chem. 89, 3664−3671 Application areas • General protein characterization • Immunoassay development • Diagnostic development • Screening and R&D for biologicals • Bioprocess control
