DEAR FRIENDS, PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE Purdue Musical Organizations will soon embark on an exciting Wednesday, May 15 Evening concert | 7:30 p.m. tour of the United Kingdom Dunblane Cathedral with the Purdue Bells and Purdue Bells & Purdue Varsity Glee Club Purdue Varsity Glee Club ensembles. ITINERARY 13 • MONDAY Departure | D in flight The day of departure has arrived! Today we will meet on campus and/or at Chicago O’Hare airport for our overnight transatlantic flight to Scotland! 14 • TUESDAY Edinburgh | B, D Good morning and welcome to Edinburgh! Upon arrival, we will make our way through customs formalities, gather our luggage and meet with our tour manager before boarding our waiting motorcoach. It is then on to the city center of Edinburgh where we will have an orientation tour of this panoramically beautiful city. We will pass historic landmarks such as the Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish Parliament building. Our final stop will be to check in at our hotel. Following check-in, we will enjoy a Scottish Welcome Dinner as a group tonight. MAY 13-25•2019 UNITED KINGDOM

19 • SUNDAY York > Lincoln | B, D After breakfast at the hotel, we will have the opportunity to attend morning worship at York Minster. Following the service, we will continue to Lincoln. After lunch we will check into our hotel before making our way to the Lincoln Castle where we will see the Magna Carta and the Victorian Prison. This evening there is also the potential for an evensong attendance before dinner. Dinner tonight will be enjoyed as a group. 20 • MONDAY Lincoln | B This morning will be free to explore Lincoln Cathedral and all of its historical treasures. The Purdue Varsity Glee Club will offer a 1:10 p.m. concert in the chapter house at Lincoln Cathedral. The remainder of the day will be at leisure for individual meals and sightseeing. 21 • TUESDAY Lincoln > Oxford | B, D Following breakfast and hotel checkout, We will travel off to Oxford, “City of Dreaming Spires.” Along the way we will make a stop in Stratford-upon-Avon to visit Shakespeare’s church. Once we arrive in Oxford, we will enjoy dinner at the hotel. B Breakfast included in cost D Dinner included in cost
MAY 13-25•2019 UNITED KINGDOM 22 • WEDNESDAY Oxford | B, D After breakfast at the hotel, we will experience a tour of Oxford. Afterward, the remainder of the afternoon will be free for independent sightseeing. An early catered dinner is included at Oxford Town Hall before our rehearsal and a combined concert. 23 • THURSDAY London | B, D After breakfast in our hotel, we will journey to London! Following time for lunch, we will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city. We will regather for our group dinner at the hotel before the Purdue Bells’ evening performance at St. James Piccadilly.
24 • FRIDAY London | B, D Following breakfast, the day is free to explore London independently. Perhaps you would like to witness the famous “Changing of the Guard” at Buckingham Palace, tour the Tower of London or sample traditional fish n’ chips for lunch. Later this afternoon, we will meet as a group and have the privilege of attending Evensong at Westminster Abbey. Following this once-in-a-lifetime experience, we will have a chance to visit the Bell Tower. We will enjoy a farewell dinner as a group. 25 • SATURDAY Return | B, D in flight Following breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to the airport for our transatlantic flight back to Chicago.
