Itinerary
Day 1 - Individual arrival in Rothenburg ob der Tauber
We recommend for your cycling holidays an early arrival to get to know the historic old town with its
medieval flair. Example of hotel: Top-International-Hotel Goldenes Fass in Rothenburg
Day 2 - Rothenburg o.d.T.–Herrieden/Ansbach, approx. 47-54 km
Today cycling past the impressive Palace Colmberg to the old-mill-town Leutershausen you continue
your bike route to Herrieden. Example of hotel: Landgasthof Birkel in HerriedenDay 3 - Herrieden/Ansbach–Weißenburg/Treuchtlingen, approx. 53-67 km
After breakfast follow the cycle route via the Lake Altmühl to the Karlsgraben, (an attempt of Charles the
Great to build a sewer construction), with a side trip to the Roman city of Weißenburg before cycling to
Treuchtlingen. Example of hotel: Hotel Garni am Ellinger Tor in Weißenburg
Day 4 - Weißenburg/Treuchtingen–Eichstätt, approx. 43-53 km
Your cycling tour starts from Treuchtlingen offering scenery from the wide and flat stream to a landscape
with high Dolomite Rocks and the rugged Jura rock. The residence square and the Castle Willibaldsburg
of Eichstätt are well-worth visiting on a side trip along the Altmühltal cycle path. Example of hotel: Hotel

Day 5 - Eichstätt–Riedenburg, approx. 55-75 km
The magnificent landscape of the broader River Altmühl continues and the Rhine-Main-Danube Chanel
sluice constructions by Dietfurt are interesting to view along this great bike route before cycling to today's
final destination Riedenburg (with a transfer you can shorten the distance to 55 km, more details regarding
the transfer you will find in your travel documents). Example of hotel: Hotel zur Post in Riedenburg
Day 6 - Riedenburg–Regensburg, approx. 63 km
Today you are cycling from the estuary of River Altmühl into the River Danube to Kelheim, following the
cycle path along River Danube towards the 2000-year old city of Regensburg, with its medieval buildings
and romantic lanes. Example of hotel: Holiday Inn Express in Regensburg

For a fee of € 9, - only you can cancel free of charge up to 28 days before arrival for bookings made by
31.05.2021.
Travel warning
We are constantly monitoring the current situation and will inform you in case of travel changes. If an official
travel warning is issued for your destination or you are unable to enter or leave the country, your trip will be
cancelled or rebooked free of charge.
No payments until 4 weeks before arrival
You do not have to make any advance payments until 4 weeks before arrival.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to
accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for
obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the paymentconditions in your booking confirmation/invoice. Cancellation Policy: According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable: 20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date 30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date 50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date 70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date 90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show” If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes. In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties.
