ROUTE, IN THE GROWING AREA Cycling in the Prosecco region is absolutely the best
OF THE RENOWNED PEARL WINE way to know this region framed in the north by the
Alps and in the south by the river Piave, where green
Self-guided tour / Guided tour hills are covered by lush overgrown vineyards. What is
4 days / 3 nights waiting for you is a land full of charme, history and art,
enriched by unexpected surprises bearing witness to
its ancient past: fairy castles, aristocratic villas but also
approx. 198 - 215 km typical cellars where local people are keeping alive
the pleasure of hospitality... you will absolutely need
to taste their delicious local products! In this area the
winemaking tradition has ancient roots; the first writ-
ten evidence of Prosecco dates back to 1772 and no-
wadays, even though sparkling wines are widespread
throughout the whole country, only the product born
from these particular graves, with its floral and fruity
scent, can bring in the world the name of „Prosecco“.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROUTE
An easy/medium cycling tour suitable good for
everybody, following good cycle paths and secondary
roads far from heavy traffic. All overnights are in the
same hotel. Particularly suitable to be covered on
E-bike.

A DAY BY DAY ACCOUNT OF THE ROUTE
DAY 1: Arrival in Revine Lago/surrounding
Individual arrival in Revine Lago/Vittorio Veneto.
DAY 2: Valley tour passing old castles (approx. 68 km)
Only some chilometres after starting your stage you will be able to admire the awesome castle of Castel Brando in
Cison di Valmarino before following the route along the shore of lake Revine towards Vittorio Veneto and Conegliano.
Enjoy a break and have a coffee at the Castle feet. Back on the saddle you reach the beautiful Castello of San
Salvatore in Susegana and Collalto Castle, which proud and immobile reminds us of its brave past. If you wish, a
short detour will take you to the estates „Tenute Caldella“ for a enogastronomic tasting proposed by the former
professional cyclist Flavio Vanzella (not included). You then cycle back to your hotel.
DAY 3: Asolo – Bassano (approx. 55 - 70 km)
This stage leads you first towards Col San Martino and then to Vidor where you cross the bridge on the river Piave.
You continue following secondary roads up and down before reaching Asolo, a small pictoresque medieval village
which is referred to as „the city of a hundred horizons“ , a real open-air museum surrounded by the ancinet walls
and dominated by the fortress above Monte Ricco. This charming atmosphere is further enriched by Venetian Villas
spread along the way, which are the product of famous architects such as Andrea Palladio. Once you leave Asolo
you descend towards Pagnano and Romano d’Ezzelino and get to the final destination: Bassano Del Grappa. Here
you can visit the Poli Grappa museum; as a final emotion for today, do not miss to take a picture while crossing the
famous wooden bridge dedicated to the Alpini, a specialized mountain corp in the Italian Army, particulalrly active
during the WWI/II. Transfer back t o your hotel.
DAY 4: Prosecco loop (approx. 75 km); individual departure
Today‘s tour takes you to one of the most famous and important wine-growing areas in italy. You cycle across that
strip of land covered by the Prosecco hills, in the very heart of the wine culture: in front of you a succession of
different landscapes, far horizons and vineyards will flow. After a short climb you reach Refrontolo and descend
to Solighetto. From Col San Martino you continue to Colbertaldo and to Valdobbiadene which is the capital of the
Prosecco, together with Conegliano. Returning to Guia you can enjoy a break at the famous tavern Osteria Senz’Oste
to taste some typical and local products while drinking a glass of good Prosecco (not inlcuded). You finally descend
to your hotel while enjoying a breathtaking view on the vineyards of Santo Stefano.

taxi to Revine Lago.
By plane: Marco Polo airport in Venezia, approx. 75 km from Revine Lago. Treviso airport, approx. 65 km from
Revine Lago.
