A Notice From Your Federation Board Change in Transfer Fees: New legislation from the State of Florida became effective July 1, 2021. This legislation increased the Transfer & Lease Fees to a maximum amount from $100 to $150 per transfer. The current fee in Kings Point will increase for new owners and renters effective 09/01/21 to $150.00. The fee is charged on the property, not on the number of residents. However, this does not apply to a Lease Renewal. It is the first increase in fees since 2012. After 5 years, this fee can increase with the Consumer Price Index. Page 11
