To all National Federations members of the Confederation up to date
with their obligations, to participate in the:
PAN AMERICAN CADET & JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023
WHICH WILL BE HELD FROM FEBRUARY 28 TO MARCH 7,
2023
And that will be carried out according to the following bases:

INSCRIPTIONS:
All fencers must have a valid FIE license for the 2022-2023 season.
Fencers who are 13 years of age on or before January 1 of the year of the
competition may participate in an FIE event.
For participation in cadet and junior events, the age ranges defined in the FIE
regulations (cf. o.55) must be respected. Entries of the Junior category
fencers, teams and referees must be made on the FIE website, www.fie.org,
respecting the deadlines specified in the FIE rules (cf. o.54).
Entries for fencers in the Cadet category must be sent to
panamericanocol2023@gmail.com respecting the deadlines specified in the
FIE rules (cf. o.54). Minors must fill out the corresponding form and send it to
the organizers to guarantee their participation.
REGISTRATION FEE:
The registration fee must be paid in cash during the registration of the
competitors before the start of the competition.
Individual competition USD 30
Team competition USD 50
REFEREES:
All participating countries must be accompanied by one or two FIE category
A or B referees (cf. t.35) according to the number of participants as
established in the FIE regulations.
1 to 4 participants does not require.
5 to 9 participants. 1 referee.
10 or more participants. 2 referees.
1 Junior team enrolled: 1 referee.
Each country will cover the expenses of its referees, the organization will cover
their lunch during the competition days.
COMPETITION SYSTEM:
The current FIE system will be used.

Competitors must use equipment and material approved in accordance with
the regulations of the International Fencing Federation (FIE), they will be
checked at the following time, at the Competition Facility.
Tuesday 28th February 14:00 – 19:00
From 1st to 6th March 07:00 - 18:00
* Only the equipment of the fencers who compete the following day will
be checked.
TECHNICAL MEETING:
It will take place on February 28, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. site To be defined
AWARDING CEREMONY:
The medals will be for the 4 individual finalists (first, second and two third) and
the 3 finalist teams (first, second and third).
All athletes who are awarded must go up to the podium with the distinctive
uniform of their country or with the complete fencing uniform.
VARIOUS:
Each delegation must bring the flag of their country to the organization.
OFFICIAL ACCOMMODATION:
The hotel proposal will be sent shortly
TRANSPORTATION:

purchases.

MITIGATION PLAN FOR COVID19
Covid-19 plan for the 2022-2023 season. Sanitary measures at FIE
competitions have been adapted as follows, until further notice:
The use of a sanitary mask is no longer mandatory, but it is still
recommended.
Participants must present to the organizers the negative result of a
Covid-19 test (PCR or rapid antigen test), carried out within a maximum
period of 72 hours before arrival in the country.
