                      Civil Ceremonies at the Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort
The Hotels civil license means that you can both marry and celebrate your wedding reception with us.

Our private suite, Gerry O’Connor Suite is a perfect venue for your ceremony.
The Suite can be divided to two sections and can cater for a smaller family ceremony or the one to include all of your
family and friends.
A charge of €250 applies to the hire of this room.

If you wish to get married by civil ceremony with us, you should first contact the registrar of civil marriages in
regarding to availability of dates and intended arrangements.

Civil Registration Service & Civil Registrar of Marriages is located in Adelaide Court, Adelaide Street, Cork; contact

We have hosted numerous civil ceremonies and blessings, and pride ourselves on attention to details on this very special
occasion.

We will provide red carpet as you walk down the aisle, table for the Registrar and chairs for your guests
2019 - Terms & Conditions

Booking procedure

   Having discussed your requirements with a member of our wedding & events team, we would be delighted to place
    a provisional booking for you. This date will be held for 14 days. Confirmation of a provisional wedding reception
    must be given in writing with an initial non-refundable deposit of €1,000.00 and will only then be considered
    confirmed. We will then confirm the details of your booking in writing to you. If no decision is forthcoming or if
    we are unable to contact you, the date will be released automatically.

   A further €1,000.00 non-refundable deposit is required six months prior to the wedding date.

   3 months prior to your reception the Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort will invite you to finalise all your
    arrangements including menus, wine, bar extension, times and accommodation.

Numbers

   Anticipated numbers should be given to the Hotel two weeks prior to the wedding reception. The Bride and Groom
    must inform the Hotel of the number of guests they wish to be catered for at the wedding reception at least two
    working days before the event. The final number will override the anticipated number specified but will not affect
    the contract minimum.

   Minimum numbers required for a Wedding Reception in John Daly room at the Club House is 100, the maximum
    number we can cater for a sit down meal is 180 guests. If the final number of guests seated on the day is less than
    the required minimum number, the minimum number will be charged.

   Smaller Weddings can also be catered for in our Gerry O’Connor Suite, room hire charge may be incurred.

Function details

   The Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort offers the Wedding Couple a complimentary tasting of their chosen Wedding
    Menu. Confirmation of the menu and wine selection is required four weeks prior to the wedding date. Any specific
    Dietary requirement can be catered for, please notify the Hotel prior to your event.

   It is essential that all entertainment arrangements have the approval of the Hotel management, prior to the date of
    your reception.

   Only food or beverage purchased on the premises may be consumed at the Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort

   Corkage charge on wine is €8.00 per bottle and €10.00 per bottle of champagne / sparkling wine. Prices are based
    on 75cl bottle. Maximum of ½ bottle per person is allowed to bring on site with the corkage charge.

Hotel policies

   The Hotel will not be liable for any failure or delay in providing facilities, service, food or beverages as a result of
    events or matters outside its control.
Accommodation

   Block bookings are accepted for wedding parties, with final reservations to be guaranteed six weeks in advance.
    Ten rooms will be at a negotiated rate, all room reservations are only accepted in writing from the Wedding Couple
    and are subject to availability. All unreserved rooms will be automatically released one month in advance of your
    wedding date.

Bar extension

   A bar extension can be obtained by the hotel on your behalf and will be added to your final bill at a cost of €450.00
    (which is a standard application charge as per licensing laws) This is a subject to application and approval and must
    be applied for a minimum of 2 months in advance. This will allow the function bar to remain open until 2am

Residents bar

   It is the Hotel’s policy to close our bars punctually in accordance with current licensing laws. Our Residents bar is
    available until 3am at the discretion of the Manager on Duty and is strictly for the use of residents only.

Legislation on underage

   There is now a general prohibition on a person less than 18 years of age from bars of licensed premises. There is,
    however, discretion to licenses to admit a child under 15 in a bar if accompanied by a parent or guardian until 9pm.
    Persons aged 15 to 17 may only be allowed in a bar if accompanied by a parent or guardian after 9pm, on the
    occasion of a private function at which a substantial meal is served, until regular closing time.

Table plans, cake, clothes

   Delivery of wedding cake, flowers etc will be accepted within office hours of 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday,
    through your point of contact at the Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort. Table plans will be accepted no later than two
    days in advance of your wedding reception, in a typed format. If you require advice/assistance please contact your
    co-ordinator.

   We are happy to provide you with a list of recommended car hire, photographers, florists, bands and beauticians.

Cancellation/change of date

   Should the Hotel, for reasons beyond its control, need to change the event arrangements, it shall use all reasonable
    endeavours to offer the Client alternative comparable arrangements and facilities. In this event, the Client can also
    choose to cancel the contract and be refunded the deposit and or any monies paid in advance.

   Should the Client be forced to postpone the wedding, prior to one year of the original date booked, the original
    deposit paid can be transferred to a date booked within six months of the original date, subject to availability. A
    second postponement will result in the deposit being forfeited in full.

   In the unfortunate event where the Client may need to cancel the confirmed booking, the following cancellation
    charges will be incurred:

                91 days and over                         25%
                61 - 90 days                             50%
                31 – 60 days                             75%
                30 days or less                          100%

                Cancellation charges will include all pre-booked items
Collection of items

   All items delivered to the Hotel for your wedding reception must be collected 24 hours after the wedding reception.
    The Hotel is not liable for any loss of damage to property owned by or in the custody of the Clients or its guests.
    The Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort will not accept responsibility for gifts left for the Wedding Couple.

Payment details

   It is company policy that you pay your account prior to departure. A nominated person must pay full and final
    payment of the wedding reception and associated costs prior to departure from the Hotel, by guaranteed cheque,
    cash or bank draft. Credit Card guarantee will also be required

Prices

   Prices are valid for the year of 2019 & 2020 but may be subject to change, all prices are quoted in Euro and
    inclusive of VAT on accommodation, food and drink. Due to the fluctuations in food, labour costs, taxes and
    unforeseen circumstance, prices shown may be subject to change with prior notice.

   Current VAT of 13.5 % is included in all prices quotes

   Service charge at couples discretion
