CEO INTRODUCTION
The Tasmanian Hospitality Association is extremely excited
that for the first time we will feature at Agfest in 2022.

The opportunity to showcase a selection of premium produce
our industry offers, in a hospitality focussed area, at one of
Tasmania’s most renowned events will be hugely beneficial.

As the proactive body of the state’s third biggest industry, the
THA advocates for hotels, pubs, accommodation, restaurants,
cafes, caterers, community, sporting and RSL clubs across
Tasmania.

We are planning a range of on-site activations which we hope
will make the Best of Tasmanian Hospitality pavilion the
biggest and best Agfest has ever seen.

The impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic to our industry have
been significant and for much of the last 18 months our
businesses have relied on local support to survive.

I couldn’t think of a better way to promote everything the
industry has to offer than by bringing it to the huge crowds
which enjoy the event every year.

SELECTION CRITERIA
SELECTION PROCESS

Preference will be given to applicants with a stallholder offering that
best suits the target audience for an event with broad appeal and has
a unique point of difference. Applications will be assessed on three
criteria including the quality of the service/brand offered, overall
presentation and setup of stall and sustainability practices.

Quality of Service / Brand Offering -
• Professionally presented product offering that has a point of
difference and is uniquely Tasmanian
• Items that can service a well rounded customer group
• Using local fresh, seasonal and high-quality produce.

Presentation -
• High quality presentation of the stall including clean equipment,
clear signage and price list that meet all OH&S and Council standards
• Stall set up (think outside the box – bold and eye-catching)
• Space and power requirements (in relation to the event site).

Sustainability Practices -
• Using alternative packaging to plastic, polystyrene and styrofoam for
the service of food and beverages, including biodegradable cutlery,
utensils and serving containers
• Appropriate measures in place for the disposal of waste.

Our aim is to provide all applicants equal opportunity to operate at
