Think about the art classes, scholarships, athletic facilities and unique experiences that are made possible by the Good Tidings Foundation that will benefit children and communities in need in the Greater Bay Area. Step 2. Start early and look at yourself! Once you are regis¬tered to climb, your easiest donation will come from yourself. It’s always easier to ask for donations once you have made one too! Step 3. Identify your potential support¬ers and remember to ask everyone! Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, business associates, vendors, teachers, doctors, and those you have supported in the past are just starting points. Ask your employer, religious or community group, and busi¬nesses that you patronize. Many companies have a matching gift program where the company will match every dollar donated to the Good Tidings Foundation by an employee. Step 4. Choose a fundraising approach that works for you. You can send a fundraising letter, email, or post card. Call your friends, or post updates and information about your participation in Stadium Stampede on Facebook and Twitter! This way you will not only spread awareness of your fundraising success but also about the Good Tidings Foundation! 6 7

Teams and School Groups can have a maximum of 25 participants per team. TEAMS & SCHOOL GROUPS The success of the climb depends on the number of participants and the amount of money that is raised. The more money that is raised, the more dreams we can make come true. Recruiting new teammates can be as simple as: • Directly asking family, friends, and co-workers. • Sending an e-mail to family, friends, and co-workers. • Talking about your team to anyone who will listen. Word of mouth is often the best way to promote what you are doing. • Placing an article in your company newsletter or sending a company-wide e-mail. • Displaying event flyers on your desk, in the company lounge, lunchroom, fitness center, lobby, elevators, and/or stairwell. (If you let us know in advance, we can personalize team-specific flyers/posters for your use.) • Recruiting your company’s CEO to join your team. CEOs sometimes welcome the opportunity to mingle with their employees in an informal out-of-the-office setting. If your CEO cannot join you, ask for their support for your team by encouraging employees to get involved or by supporting the team with t-shirts. • Holding a kick-off rally for team members to build excitement. Encourage them to recruit a new member for your team. Registering Your Team 1. Go to support.goodtidings.org 2. Click Start a Team. At this time you will also be registering yourself as an individual. 3. Follow instructions above in regards to importing contact lists and sending email templates encouraging your friends to join your team and or donate! 4. Others joining your team will click on Join A Team and select your team when they go to register. 5. If you have already registered as an individual and would like to form a team, call 415-283-1811 or email stacy@goodtidings.org. If you have any questions or need help with anything, please call 415-283-1811 or email stacy@goodtidings.org. T H A N K YO U ! Thank you for your support of the Good Tidings Foundation. We could not help under served youth of the Greater Bay Area without your help! Each dollar you raise and each step you climb is helping us support youth dreams.
