COVID-19 PICTURE THIS! 75TH ANNIVERSARY UPDATE SCAVENGER HUNT JULY 1 TO SEPT. 6 Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Downers Grove We continue to modify our plans and procedures to Park District as you discover secret spots, explore hidden ensure the health and safety of our participants and landmarks and delve into the history of the Park District staff. The Park District will continue to follow the State on this photo scavenger hunt for all ages! SPECIAL EVENTS DRIVE-IN MOVIES Join us for a night out at a drive-in screening of your favorite movies at the Downers Grove Golf Club! This is a preregistered event. No registration will be taken onsite. All vehicles attending must be registered with car make and model. Registration and fee is per car, not per person and the person registering the vehicle must be 16 years or older. You will receive an email at least 24 hours before the event with your assigned parking row, as well as safety guidelines/protocols. SPECIAL EVENTS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES PRESENTED BY: Kick back, relax and enjoy free live music all summer long at Veterans Memorial Pavilion in Fishel Park! Concerts begin at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings May 25 through August 17 and will feature rock, country, blues and oldies. Watch the concerts in person at Fishel Park with a reserved viewing area for six OR watch online from home with our live streamed show! Fishel Park is located on Grove Street just west of Main Street. What to expect in 2021: The Downers Grove Park District has reformatted the 2021 Summer Concert Series to meet state guidelines and capacity requirements to safely offer this event to the community. We ask for your patience as the concerts will be hosted in a different format as we navigate through the pandemic this summer. We hope to return to our usual concert format in 2022 if possible. Advance reservations will be required. No onsite registration will be available. Reservations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis through an online ticketing system. Tickets for each concert will open at 5pm one week prior to the concert date. Capacity will be limited to meet state guidelines. Masks will be required when not seated in your viewing area. Restrooms will be available. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food; outside alcohol is prohibited. Information about live streaming, reservations and food/beverage availability will be announced in May at dgparks.org. Stay tuned for more details!
