DEAR FAMILY, Welcome! This summer your child will have fun participating in both S.T.E.M & sports activities in our combo camp. All children will have the opportunity to learn how to problem solve, work successfully in teams, and develop self-confidence during S.T.E.M activities. Teamwork and sportsmanship are taught while children learn to shoot hoops, kick, dribble and so much more during sports activities! Come and join us on a new, exciting adventure. CAMP West Family Y NOTHIN’ BUT NET & ARTFUL ANTICS Week 5: July 26-July 30 Try your hand at some basketball then get your hands messy creating exploding art, creepy-crawly crafts, MARCH MADNESS & MAD SCIENTIST ‘oobleck’, make play dough and so much more! Week 1: June 28-July 2 Test your basketball skills and compete to be the last INTERNATIONAL SPORTS & ANIMAL team standing. Then put on your lab coat and dive PLANET into a world of interactive science where camp becomes your laboratory. Week 6: August 2-August 6 Enjoy playing popular sports from around the world like cricket, rugby and European handball. Then INVENT A SPORT & LEGO - MAKE IT explore some of our planets most interesting MOVE creatures and get a visit from the Zoo Mobile. Week 2: July 5-July 9 Here is your chance to create your own sport. Balloon FIELD DAYS & BEYOND BOARD tennis, bean bag basketball, crab soccer and other GAMES silly sports all in one week! Then use math and Week 7: August 9-August 13 science to engineer the fastest form of Lego travel. Let the games begin! Life-sized board games and field days all in one week! CAMPER ESSENTIALS We ask all campers to bring a backpack with the following items: Extra masks Water bottle Sunscreen Sweatshirt Swimsuit & towel Bag for wet suit Change of clothes Please add your child’s name to everything they bring to camp. Be sure your campers dress appropriately for the weather and is wearing sneakers! To help your child take full advantage of all we have to offer, please leave toys, electronic equipment, cell phones and gaming devices, trading or game cards at home. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT POLICIES HOW DO I REGISTER? Register online at www.ymcabroome.org or stop by the Welcome Center of your nearest branch! Registration requires a non-refundable deposit of $30 for each of camp you which you wish to register for. Deposits are applied to camp fees. CAMPER SAFETY YMCA Summer Camps are licensed by NYS Department of Health. Our camps are inspected to ensure our facilities are in compliance with all safety standards. Safety comes first at the Y. That’s why we ask all campers to be respectful to themselves, other campers and staff. To ensure the safety of all those in our care, a camper whose behavior poses a risk to safety may be removed from campers, and our staff. EMERGENCIES SWIMMING Our staff are trained in handling a variety of Campers who wish to swim in designated deep water emergency situations.
