Things to Bring on the First Day of School in 2019 A list of things to bring can be found in the orientation folder. Some of the things include: •Identification lanyard •An English Language story book •A set of coloured pencils •A set of stationery (Pencils, a ruler, an eraser, etc) •A water bottle •Some pocket money for recess •Healthy snacks for snack break Please label every item with your child’s name. -Your child’s form teacher will issue a timetable on the first week of school.
School Routines School Hours: From 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. •Assembly at the Parade Square on the first day of school (2 Jan 2019). In the event of wet weather, the assembly will be held in the hall. •Silent Reading before flag raising •Flag raising ceremony starts at 7.30 a.m. •Recess is from 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. •Snack Break will be between 12 noon to 12.30 p.m. •Last period ends at 1.30 p.m.
Guidelines for School Uniform •There will be at least 3 Physical Education(PE) /Programme for Active Learning (PAL) days per week. •A pair of black shoes suitable for sports (with laces or velcro) •A few pairs of NCPS socks

Safety Issues • Parents are not allowed to drive into school in the morning unless it is raining • Remind your child not to go home alone or with a stranger • Inform your child to wait at the General Office if they could not find you • Ensure your child knows the mode of transport or exits (Gate A, B or C) • Inform the school/teacher if there are any changes to the dismissal arrangement
