Page 3 Program Cancellation The Tuscany Residents Association (TRA) greatly values your business! For this reason, we have designed our cancellation policy to better suit the needs of our valued customers. No exceptions will be made to the policy outlined below. Please review carefully. 1. TRA CANCELLATION DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT The TRA may need to cancel programs with insufficient registration or due to instructor availability. Should this occur, participants may choose from the following options: A) Transfer to another program where space is still available. B) Receive an account credit on the household TRA account. C) Receive a cheque for the full amount of the program, which will be available for pick up within 2-4 weeks after the class cancellation. Should a class be cancelled, you will be notified by phone or email no later than two days prior to the commence- ment of the class and will be asked to select one of these three options at this time. 2. WITHDRAWAL/TRANSFER REQUESTS All program withdrawals/transfer requests must be made in writing to the Recreation Manager at recreation@tuscanyclub.ca For your convenience and flexibility, a refund will be issued should the withdrawal request be sent 14 or more days before the program start date in the form of account credit or cheque, less a $15 administration fee. • Requests to withdraw from a program less than 14 days prior to the first day of program will be charged a 25% program fee and a $15 administration fee will apply. • After two classes into the program, refunds will be issued for medical reasons only and a doctor’s note may be required. A pro-rated refund will be issued and the $15 administration fee will apply. • Refunds will not be issued to participants who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes for seasonal/ outdoor programs. • Refunds will be issued to participants who are unable to attend a class or program due to illness. A credit will be applied to your TRA account for the days on which they could not attend. • Failure to attend a class does not cancel the enrollment and refunds will not be issued. • Refunds of $25 or less will only be credited to the household TRA account. • NSF cheques are subject to an additional $50 fee. Coming for a visit? All residents aged 12+ must have their membership card to gain access to any of the TRA indoor or outdoor facilities or sign out gym equipment. Your membership is automatically renewed when your annual fees are paid. Don’t have a card? The Tuscany Club must see a copy of your certificate of title and ID showing proof of residency in order to receive your permanent membership cards. Want online access? Visit www.tuscany-connect.com and click on “SIGN ME UP!”. You will receive email confirmation when your account is activated. You will need your 8-digit TRA# from your card. Page 4 Outdoor Activities Due to current AHS targeted health guidelines and to accommodate as many of our members as possible, we are not allowing guests to access any park amenities at this time . Only members in good standing are permitted. We are not loaning any equipment at this time. All members must bring their own balls, racquets etc. Please visit our website and social media pages for more information as it becomes available and up to date reservation schedules for each amenity. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and directly supervised at all times while using ANY/ALL of the park amenities. All reservation requests can be made by emailing bookings@tuscanyclub.ca SPLASH PARK! Our splash park is open daily from 9am to 8pm, weather permitting by family reserva- tion only. No guests are permitted at this time. See website for schedule. SKATEPARK Our new permanent skatepark is just East of the Tennis Courts . At this time, it is limited to 10 users at a time (first come first serve), no guests and all users must check in at the front desk to access the park. Safety equipment is recommended PLAYGROUND The playground is open year-round with swings, toys and climbing. At this time, we are limited to 10 children on the park at a time (first come first serve). OUTDOOR FITSTATION Check out this great adult feature located south of the playground. OUTDOOR BASKETBALL Our outdoor basketball courts within our hockey rink are available for single person or family use only at this time on a first come first serve basis. TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURTS Two outdoor tennis courts with two pickle ball courts on each! Available by family reservation only, no guests. See website for schedule.
Page 5 IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION-ONLINE OPTION The majority of our Summer offerings are outdoors and can only be offered in per- son, with the exception of our Adult Fitness Mash Up schedule and Children’s Dance. Many of our programs have been successfully offered online and we are prepared to continue to do so as long as necessary. In person programming will follow all safety protocols and guidelines at the time of offering. If in person programming is not permitted, we will offer online if we are able. Should a program not be permitted to be offered in person and we are not able to offer online a full refund will be given. Please see page 3 for our full cancellation/withdrawal policy. Children’s Programs Children’s Outdoor Dance Classes July Session: July 10 to 31 August Session: August 7 to 28 Each class will be movement based with a focus on creativity, getting active and having fun. Classes are best suited for ages 4-10 but we can accommodate other ages as well and happy to accommodate siblings. Page 6 Children’s Programs cont’d FALL Early Explorers 2 hour Programs (3 to 5 years) Instructors: Michelle Ludbrook & Deborah Fourchalk Each day includes time to play, a craft, a story, games, gym/outside time, and a snack sent from home. This unlicensed recreation-based program runs as separate 8-12 week sessions to allow for flexibility in times and days. Choose from 1 to 5 times per week. If the program you are wanting is full, please go on the waitlist. It is free. Registration for the Winter session will open on August 6th @ 9am online. The first half of classes are dedicated to dribbling, shooting, passing and scoring in soccer. Coaches will then focus on throwing, catching, batting, running bases and fielding, all skills that are built into our play-based T- Ball programming. Sportball T-Ball has launched more than a few baseball dreams and some home runs too! *Participants who already participated in Spring Sportball and received the jersey and soccer ball can re-register at a reduced rate for Summer. Full or pro-rated refunds will be given if classes are not permitted to run in person. Youth classes will be held in the gym when there is inclement weather . Adult classes will be cancelled and participants credited when there is inclement weather. All participants must bring their own racquets. Balls will be provided during lessons. Page 8 Adult Programs cont’d Summer Fitness Class Mash Up We will continue to offer online options for adult classes until targeted health measures and guidelines allow for in person again. Our Summer Mash Up Schedules are posted monthly and classes are registered for individually. Take as many as you like, whenever you like. Cancellations with 48 hours of notice or more will be credited to account and all classes will require a minimum of 5 participants to run. Please visit www.tuscany-connect.com for more information and to register CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Ballet Barre & Conditioning (Sabina Zhetpisova) A winning combination of ballet, core engagement and upper and lower body toning. Build strength from the inside out. Weights are optional. Great for all levels. Ballet Barre & Gentle Stretch Combo *90 minutes* (Sabina Zhetpisova) This program will be a combo of 60 minutes of Ballet Barre and 30 minutes Gentle Stretch. Two popular programs rolled together in one class. Great for all levels. Body Tuning (Michelle Hines) This class focuses on tuning up the body with minimal equipment. High muscular endurance combined with high reps, sets, and rest to see results. Limited impact & cardio. All fitness levels welcome. Cardio Tennis (Willie Jung) Cardio Tennis is a fun, group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate, high-energy workout. It includes a warm-up, cardio workout, and cool down phases. If you want to find a healthy, new way to get in shape and to burn calories, you ought to try Cardio Tennis. Fit Happens (Ameira Steidl) This interval-based class will use minimal equipment to strengthen, tone and shape the body. Each class will focus on functional movement to keep you fit and strong. All levels are welcome. Gentle Stretch (Sabina Zhetipisova) Increase muscle control, flexibility and range of motion with this dedicated stretching class. Great for all levels. Hatha Flow Yoga (Kristy Karpa) This gentle strengthening stretching class gives time support, and instruction to truly understand how the body works. Learn proper alignments of the yoga poses and breathing techniques. Restorative Yoga (Monica Espinosa) This yoga class combines yoga with gentle movements that are designed for gentle movement to increase joint mobili- ty, stress release and therapeutic healing. Poses are held longer and props are used to support poses. Zumba (Lynn Ann Goodings) This fitness class combines dance and fitness moves. Inspired by Latin dance and music, it uses a variety of styles in its routines, including Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco, and a Hip Hop. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body. Will return when in person is permitted.
Page 9 As a property owner in the community of Tuscany you are automatically a member of the Tuscany Residents Associa- tion (TRA). The TRA is a not-for-profit organization which manages assets owned by the association for the benefit of Tuscany residents. The TRA annual fees support the maintenance of the Tuscany Club facility, the surrounding park space and outdoor facilities, several decorative cor- ners, TRA events and activities and the Tuscany Connect website. Benefits of membership include access to the Tus- cany Club facility, tennis courts, hockey rink, skating oval, Tuscany Residents Association splash park, skatepark, outdoor volleyball court and green 212 Tuscany Way NW spaces.
