Short breaks and activities for children and young people in Suffolk with additional needs and disabilities Summer 2020
Summer holidays are fast approaching... ... but we're sure it won't be any surprise to hear that our summer guide looks a bit different this year. Coronavirus continues to make it's presence known across all areas of society, and unfortunately the leisure and short breaks sectors are no different. We know that your needs for short breaks haven't changed, and that if anything, the current situation has intensified them. We are continuing to issue our Membership, Short Break and Short Break Plus offers as usual, and we are working with our providers to try and bring you as many options as we possibly can, but there's no getting away from the fact that this summer won't run quite like any summer we've had before. We've pulled together as many resources as we can think of that might be useful to you over the summer holidays, including clubs, venues, online and outdoor activities. Keep checking our website; as guidance changes and more providers are able to reopen we will be updating things. If you know of a great resource that might benefit families, let us know! All suggestions welcome, just drop us a line at info@activities-unlimited.co.uk We wish you a safe, fun and healthy summer, The Activities Unlimited Team Contents Lodges, Clubs & Overnights 3 Creative & Musical 4 Gaming & Computing 4 Outdoors & Active 5 Family Activities 6 Other 7 New for 2020 - Activity Passports! Activity Passports have been designed by AU providers to help manage the risk for all who attend short break activities this summer. They give staff key information about your child and any adjustments that are necessary as a result of COVID-19 guidance. This is particularly useful when a child is attending more than one setting/service. Please help our short break providers by clicking here to complete one and sharing it with any provision that your child accesses over the summer. www.activities-unlimited.co.uk

With this in mind, if you would normally send your child to an activity with spending money, please speak to the provider first. You may also wish to explore having some of your AU award paid onto a prepaid card to help with this - please contact the AU Team on info@activities-unlimited.co.uk if you would like to discuss this further. www.activities-unlimited.co.uk
