Staff Zone Expands Corporate
Office     in      Roswell’s
Opportunity Zone
Staff Zone, a staffing company
that specializes in providing
temporary   labor   for   the
commercial construction industry,
has relocated and expanded its
corporate office to 863 Holcomb
Bridge Road.

Located within the city’s Opportunity Zone, the 11,000-square-
foot building will allow for Staff Zone to grow its operations
over the coming years by creating office space with the
capacity to house up to 10 additional employees.

Staff Zone will renovate the building, including a complete
refresh of the exterior along with an interior buildout, which
will feature a large training/meeting room and a mock branch
for training purposes. The second floor will include private
offices and a common work area.

“Staff Zone’s decision to expand its corporate office in
Roswell by investing and redeveloping a property is a big win
for local retention efforts,” said Steve Stroud, executive
director of Roswell Inc. “The larger space will allow the
company to add employees and grow over the next decade, and we
were honored to work with their team on this exciting
project.”

“We are very excited to relocate and create a presence in the
Roswell community, while updating and renovating a very
prominent building on Holcomb Bridge Road,” said Sherri
Harris, co-owner of Staff Zone. “Our team is excited to work
with A Classical Studio and CRLG Holdings. Both have made our
vision become an eventual reality, and Roswell Inc has been an
integral part of helping us make this happen.”

Staff Zone has 31 locations in Georgia, Florida, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas
and Colorado, more than 200 employees companywide, and
provided jobs for more than 22,000 temporary workers in 2017.

Staff Zone is working with Joshua Roland and David Grace of A
Classical Studio, and Laura Green Rothermel and Chris
Rothermel of CRLG Holdings to complete renovations, both of
which are located in Roswell.

outparcel     development    for

Construction is scheduled to be

of this year.

Currently, three business have leased space in the new
building—Deka Lash, 1,000 Degree Pizza, and Five Guys.

Deka Lash, an eyelash extension studio, will occupy 1,213
square feet, and 1,000 Degree Pizza, and authentic Neapolitan
pizzeria, will occupy 1,800 square feet—both are projected to
open in the fourth quarter of this year. Five Guys, a fast
casual burger restaurant, has leased 2,400 square feet and is
expected to open in the first quarter of 2019. Approximately
4,000 square feet of retail space is still available for
lease.

Public Relations

relations and communications,
Carisa Turner, has received her
Accreditation      in    Public
Relations (APR) through the
Public Relations Society of
America (PRSA)—the nation’s
largest professional association
for   public   relations     and
communications professionals.

Of PRSA’s 30,000 members across the country, only 15% have
achieved their APR.

Created in 1964, the APR is an internationally ranked
accreditation program for established PR professionals, which
allows them to certify professional expertise and reflect a
high standard of public relations principles and ethics.

“The   APR   process   strengthened   my   understanding   of   the
essential and foundational role public relations plays in
public life and made me a stronger advocate for the strategic,
research-based, outcome-driven, and ethical practice of the
profession,” said Carisa Turner. “I am incredibly grateful for
all the support I received during this process.”

To become accredited, candidates are evaluated on their
mastery of the following public relations concepts and areas
of practice: 1) Research, Planning, Implementing and
Evaluating Programs; 2) Applying Ethics and Law; 3) Managing
Issues and Crisis Communications; 4) Understanding
Communication Models, Theories, and History of the Profession;
5) Leading the Public Relations Function; and 6) Managing
Relationships.

This is accomplished through both a formal panel presentation
showcasing expertise and previous work experience as well as a

computer-based exam. Candidates that pass both components are
awarded the APR designation, which must be maintained through
continued professional development.

Inc. “Her accreditation not only establishes her as a leader
within the PR world, but adds significant value, credibility

The APR designation is formally awarded by the Universal
Accreditation Board (UAB), which is a partnership between nine
of the major public relations organizations. PRSA is one of
the members and serves as the administrator of the program.
