■ 6 St. Thomas More College, University of Saskatchewan

It is my responsibility as a professor to learn and
to teach. It is to create an atmosphere of caring,
justice, and community in the classroom. I wish
to foster in students a concern for others as well
as the confidence to act for themselves and to
find their true spirit. Through my teaching, I hope
to foster in students a love of learning, to teach
them how best to facilitate their learning, and to
encourage critical inquiry and thinking.

"As a First Nations student, the friendship and
encouragement that my professors give me during
my time at St. Thomas More College is invaluable
to my personal growth and academic success.
STM provided me with a liberal arts education
necessarily tied to the pursuit of social justice,
both locally and globally."

"Coming from a small town to the University
of Saskatchewan I was looking for a smaller
community to be a part of. STM gave me that
small community and became my home away
from home during university. Having a place
where I felt welcomed, supported, and part of a
family made all the difference."
