We hope you are availing yourself of our daily and weekend live mass broadcasts on this page. As you are aware, our weekend masses are
the largest source of income for the church and helps us maintain our operating services to the St. Stephen community. With normal mass
services cancelled until further notice, you may want to consider on-line giving. Here is the link to our on-line giving:

You can also use Text to Give. Just text “register” to 410-237-8023, click the link in the reply, fill out the form and submit your registration!
You will be able to text a donation amount to 410-237-8023. You will receive a confirmation text. The payment method you chose in your
registration will be charged. It is as easy as that and completely secure! If you wish to mail in your offertory envelopes, you may do that as

Thank you for your consideration. God bless you!

St. Stephen School News
On Wednesday, May 19th our 8th grade class had a wonderful day of reflection and fun together at O'Dwyer Retreat House.
While enjoying the beautiful Chapel and grounds at O'Dwyer, the class reflected on their time together at St. Stephen. They thought
about who they are, how they have grown, and the things they aspire to do moving forward from St. Stephen Schoo Through fun
teambuilding activities and reflection opportunities, the class reminisced on what it has been like to work together and support one
another as classmates, friends and children of God.

Below are reflection quotes from some of our students:
"The retreat house was very pretty, and the meditation time brought me closer to God"
-Charley Steen '21
"The meditation time helped me to reflect on and find the good in this tough year"
-Clara Schucker '21
"It was fun to get away from our everyday lives as students and come together as a family before our last days as a class"
-Brooke Carroll '21

We are grateful to the staff at O'Dwyer Retreat House for providing us with all the space and resources necessary to host this
wonderful retreat for our 8th graders. We look forward to being able to host many retreats there for our young people for years
come. Please keep our 8th graders in prayer as they graduate and move forward to the next chapter of their lives.

Our Mass of Gratitude for the Sisters Was Filled with Love Did you hear it? Did you feel it? The joy of shared love and appreciation was
so strongly palpable I’m sure it was sensed throughout Kingsville and beyond. There is so much to be thankful for but above all we are
thankful for all of you. You came with your signs, your chairs, and an outpouring of love and gratitude for our Sisters that energized the
afternoon and kept the rain away! Sr. Helen Jacobson, the Archivist for the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia and a guest at the Mass,
expresses beautifully what the celebration meant to them

“Peace and all good! I am composing this note of thanks in the presence of my beautiful red rose and baby’s breath currently
standing tall in a bud vase on my desk. There are not enough superlative adjectives to describe how touched I was yesterday
by the outpouring of love and appreciation for our sisters as they prepare to move from the parish campus. Your investment
of so much time, effort, care, and thoughtful attention to the smallest detail was so obvious and so heartwarming. From our
welcome upon arrival, the decorated golf cart transport, the liturgy and gift presentations, the appetizers, dinner, and dessert
—you took such good care of us guests as well as the current convent residents. I remarked to several people yesterday that it
saddens me to know of so many occasions where our sisters have served for many decades at a parish and there has been
no recognition and/or appreciation of their years of service. You all, on the other hand, have literally outdone yourselves. I am
so looking forward to seeing the Memory Book that will be forthcoming. With deepest thanks and wishes of abundant
blessings for you and the parishioners at St. Stephen’s! Sr. Helen We prayed at mass that the road between us would never
          be far.”

As we celebrate the gift of fathers and honor St. Joseph, we also recognize that Father’s Day can be a difficult holiday for many. We hope

have the statute delivered for few days so that our Christians can do prayers and devotions to Our Spiritual Father St. Joseph. For Bomu
we will receive the statute on June 22, 2021 and handover it to our neighbouring parish on 26.06.2021.

More General Notices
From our Parish Service & Social Justice Committee:

June 20 is World Refugee Day: It is a core Catholic teaching that every human being is created in the image of God and is therefore
entitled to dignity and respect. The Catholic Church views assisting those in need as a fundamental Christian duty that is derived directly
from the life of mercy of Christ, who himself was a migrant and a child of refugees. We, as Christians, are called to welcome our new
neighbors with the same love and compassion we would want ourselves to be shown in a time of persecution. We are also called to provide
support and care for refugees overseas who remain in tenuous situations. (from USCCB).

 Prayer for Refugees:
God of our Wandering Ancestors, Long have we known That your heart is with the refugee:
That you were born into time In a family of refugees Fleeing violence in their homeland,
Who then gathered up their hungry child And fled into alien country.
Their cry, your cry, resounds through the ages: “Will you let me in?”
Give us hearts that break open When our brothers and sisters turn to us with that same cry.
Then surely all these things will follow:
Ears will no longer turn deaf to their voices. Eyes will see a moment for grace instead of a threat.
Tongues will not be silenced but will instead advocate.
And hands will reach out—working for peace in their homeland, working for justice in the lands where they seek safe haven. Lord, protect
 all refugees in their travels.
May they find a friend in me And so make me worthy Of the refuge I have found in you. AMEN (from Catholic Relief Services)

June 25 is the International Day for Seafarers: Have you ever stopped to reflect upon the ease with which we have access to our
favorite morning coffee from Brazil, grapes from Chile, or wheat from Turkey? What about our prescription medicine produced in
Germany or the gasoline that fuels our cars made with crude oil from Saudi Arabia? 90% of global trade is moved by the sea and it is our
fellow seafarers who work tirelessly to transport this cargo to and from the world’s 6,000 ports, including the 360 seaports that line our
U.S. coasts.
Stella Maris, founded by the Catholic Church, is the largest global maritime ministry serving seafarers, fishers, and family members in the
world. In the U.S. Stella Maris is present in 53 maritime ports in 26 states and in 48 dioceses. Port chaplains and lay volunteers minister to
seafarers by offering pastoral care, friendship, transportation to purchase basic needs, Internet connection/phone cards to communicate
with family members, and more. In addition to offering welcome on ship visits, Stella Maris staff assists seafarers in distress, whether due
to exploitative working conditions or long periods of isolation on board the vessel.

Stella Maris Prayer: O Mary, Star of the Sea, Light of every ocean, guide seafarers across all dark and stormy seas that they may reach the
haven of peace and light prepared in Him who calmed the sea. As we set forth upon the oceans of the world and
cross the deserts of our time, show us, O Mary, the fruit of your womb, for without your Son we are lost. Pray that we
will never fail on life’s journey, that in heart and mind, in word and deed, in days of turmoil and in days of calm, we
will always look to Christ and say, “Who is this that even wind and sea obey him?” Our Lady Star of the Sea Pray for us.
                     Amen (Pope John Paul II)

Diapers Needed: Women’s Care Center in Fullerton is continuing to serve women, children and families, with precautions to prevent the
spread of the coronavirus. Many people are in need now, so the center would welcome donations of diapers in sizes NB, 4, 5, and 6. Target
and Amazon, among others, will deliver directly to the center at 7621 Belair Rd., Baltimore, MD 21236 (667-401-0700.). Or drop your donation
