The fibre Guild so get reading and test our recommendations is currently holding an exhibition in Blenheim out :) and the items in the slideshow are just a small part of that exhibition. Also to note – our magazine selection is wide and is currently being refreshed – check out This week I have been reading a Trilogy – the what is available upstairs in our Magazine Midnight Queen Series by Sylvia Hunter. These area – and also online via https://www. are a very readable, light fantasy ––set in a world
where magic is commonplace and the main religion is Wicca – however, the patriarchy is still in charge – the story centres upon the fortunes of Graham Marshall (Gray) and Sophie Callender (aka Princess Edith Augusta – daughter of King Henry of England). In Book one they meet, fall in love and stop an assassination attempt on Sophie’s estranged father. I am currently half way through Book 2 and continue to enjoy the story and the development of the characters – the storyline is nicely done – weaving historical fact and fiction in a finely woven thread. If you have been a fan of mythology and of such books as Mists of Avalon – then this may appeal. Council works with several Government agencies including the Department of Conservation and Ministry for Primary Industries to look after the coastal area. Marine and land activities such as farming, forestry and sewage discharge all have a direct impact on the coastal environment. Council regulates the different activities in the Sounds through the Resource Management Plan and consenting process.
