MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR As COVID-19 vaccinations have become widely available and transmission and serious consequences are diminishing, the virus is still active and will still circulate like other communicable diseases. Management at SSA would like to kindly remind everyone that policies are still in place to keep staff and visitors safe. On May 25, we gradually began to restart our important social connections and most departments are continuing to return to the office. We are following BC’s Restart -4 Step Plan focused on protecting people and safely getting back to normal. We are currently in Step 3 - The criteria for Step 3 are at least 70% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with low case counts and declining COVID-19 hospitalizations. In Step 3 all sectors will transition to using communicable disease prevention guidance from WorkSafe BC. Under the direction of the BC’s Restart Plan, the mask guidance followed from the Government of BC website is: ** Masks are recommended in indoor public places for all people 12 and older who are not yet fully vaccinated. ** Our offices will continue our on-going measures to reduce the risk of communicable disease transmission. Which includes: • Wash hands often • Wear a mask in common areas (recommended but not mandatory) • Stay 2 meters apart • Spray and wipe down your workstations • And if you have symptoms, get tested and stay home
STÓ:LŌ BULLETIN July 23, 2021 In-office procedures remain the same as per the above. Each department / building will have separate protocols as office spaces are set up differently. Please speak to your Director/Supervisor if you have questions or concerns.
