WELCOME AT SRA! - Globally over 7.2 mil people play rugby – far more connected to business of sport - With world class partners like World Rugby, SARU, other top training providers, we develop unique RUGBY HP program - Now players, managers, and coaches are trained in ONE program! - We believe it is one of most innovative / challenging rugby courses in the world!
WELCOME IN STELLENBOSCH Stellenbosch is widely regarded as home of SA rugby, with rich tradition over more than 150 years. It is home of: The well-loved father of modern Maties rugby, Doc Danie Craven, a Springbok player, coach, president of SA Rugby, president of IRB and mentor of many Springboks. The US (Maties), is the biggest rugby club in the world - has produced the most Springboks. The famous Boys’ School, Paul Roos Gymnasium, named after the first Springbok captain of 1906; alma mater of the most Springboks of any school in SA.
BETTER PEOPLE – BETTER PERFORMANCE 1. OUR “It’s not about rugby, it’s about young men. It’s not about building a championship team, it’s about building championship boys. PHILOSOPHY Boys who will be forever strong.” - Larry Gelwix

Stay in gym groups and time allocated. Only training and recovery equipment are allowed to be used. No student is allowed to use white board, air-con, and music system. Tampering with equipment is forbidden. Before beginning your workout, wash your hands, wipe off any cologne. Keep gym bag out of way of others. Wear appropriate clothes: shorts, comfortable clothing and shoes. No shirtless training or slops are allowed.
GYM PROTOCOL No food, drinks, gum, glass items besides water. Wipe benches off if you sweat all over them. It's even better to put down a towel before you use the bench. Wipe down all equipment after use. No equipment allowed to leave the gym. Use a spotter when lifting. No exceptions. Be courteous when using water tap. Don't spit / blow nose in fountain either. Ask if you may “work in,” and always allow others the same courtesy; afterward, return the seat and weight to the last user’s setup. Refrain from yelling, using profanity, banging weights and making loud sounds. Do not sit on machines between sets. It’s not a lounge.
GYM PROTOCOL Respect equipment. Dropping weights on the floor can cause injury to yourself or others – can damage equipment. Always put it down as gently as you can. Place dumbbells back on rack in slots where they belong. Always remove your weights from the machines unless next person asks you to leave them on. Re-rack weights, return all other equipment / accessories to their proper locations. Do not disturb others. Focus on your own workout and allow others to do the same. It's not nice to laugh at other people just because they can't lift as much as you. Remember, there is always someone else who can lift more than you. Leave gym better as when you walked in. Clean up after yourself. Any person who fails to abide to the Gym protocol will be dismissed of using gym after hours.
