CAVALIER CONNECTION September 3, 2021 Volume 18 Issue 6 TABLE OF CONTENTS I hope that your family and health are doing well. COVID is appearing to be on the decline as we continue to move forward. The data is showing a consistent 2-PTO down trend and we hope that this continues. I hope that you are taking all the 3–COUNSELOR CORNER precautions necessary to keep your family healthy. I ask that everyone be extra 3—COLLEGE & CAREER cautious over this long weekend as this is a time period that can create more 5-CAVALIER NEWS cases. If we all do our part to stay healthy and safe, we will be through this 9-FINE ARTS challenging time soon. 10-ATHLETICS Please know that progress reports were posted yesterday. Please view your child’s progress by accessing the report in the Parent Access Center. We have ADMINISTRATION students that are struggling due to missed classes and are having a hard time getting back to a school atmosphere. Please encourage your child to get help as Dr. Mark Murrell soon as possible. Principal We have seen a good number of students miss school over the first 4 weeks due Dr. Susan Caffery Academy Headmaster to COVID and other issues. We hope that your child is attending school as much as possible (when they are not sick) so that they maximize learning opportuni- Mr. Clint Holden ties. Please know that it is vital for student Associate Principal for Administration success for them to work on assignment’s while they are out so they keep up. If they miss 6-8 days Dr. Susan Hersperger due to COVID, their grade in classes will be Associate Principal of Curriculum and Instruction impacted unless they work hard while they are out. Many are not doing anything and it is almost Ms. Melanie McCarthy impossible to catch back up. Please have your Associate Principal for Operations child email their teachers if they are going to be out and stay caught up as much as possible.
