(TPI) is an all-volunteer administered and operated IRS 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that produces and promotes cultural, educational, and recreational events for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in Tucson, Arizona and beyond. Tucson Pride was founded in 1977 making it Arizona’s first and longest established LGBTQ Organization. 2021 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Board of Directors Message MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS When we were last together in 2019, the Tucson Community celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the historic Stonewall Uprising. The 2019 Festival drew more than 5,000 attendees, 130 vendors & exhibitors, as well as more than 200 volunteers. Following the success of 2019, came the challenges presented by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Tucson Pride responded to the pandemic in numerous ways. In 2020, Tucson Pride presented a virtual Pride Festival to keep our community connected. Our reigning Tucson Pride Royalty also worked to provide relief to communities disproportionately impacted by the Pandemic. This was accomplished through fundraisers to support various COVID-19 relief activities including the Navajo Nation COVID-19 Relief Fund, EON Youth Lounge, Youth On Their Own, and the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network’s Poz Café . In each of these fundraisers, Tucson Pride was able to match contributions raised by the Pride Royalty contributing a total of $5200 various relief activities. This year, Tucson Pride looks to the future. This year’s Pride Festival is currently set for Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Georges DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center at Reid Park and with the Pride Parade taking place on the evening of Friday, October 1, 2021 in Downtown Tucson. Tucson Pride relies heavily upon the successful outcome of the annual Pride Festival and Parade in order to fund year-round programming. We anticipate that this year’s festival will cost nearly $95,000.00 to produce, with the likely added expenses to mitigate COVID-19 as directed by Public Health as well as the Centers for Disease Control. Our anticipated adjusted earnings for this year’s festival is approximately $60,000.00; however, that figure relies heavily upon the generosity of donors and sponsors in order to cover our overhead expenses. Your generous contribution will not only aid Tucson Pride in creating a world-class experience for our parade and festival participants, it will facilitate long-term development of programming in support of our Mission and our Values. Page 62021 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Frequently Asked Questions WHO PRODUCES TUCSON PRIDE? Tucson Pride as well as the Tucson Pride Parade are produced by the Tucson Lesbian and Gay Alliance (Tucson Pride, Inc.). Tucson Pride is Arizona’s first and longest-operating LGBTQIA+ Pride organization. Tucson Pride has produced the annual Pride Celebration in Tucson for 44 Years. What began as a picnic in the park in 1977, is now a weekend of celebration and activism that promotes strong community bonds between the Southern Arizona LGBTQIA+ community and the Tucson Community at large. Tucson Pride in the Desert is Tucson Pride Inc.’s flagship event which encompasses more than 70% of Tucson Pride Inc.’s budget. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SPONSOR AND A VENDOR? Both sponsors and vendors are important contributors to the Tucson Pride Parade and Tucson Pride Festival. Vendors pay a fee to exhibit and/or sell goods at the Festival. Vendors do not receive any benefits apart from their vendor space. Vendors are also limited to their booths and may not distribute items throughout the festival grounds. Depending on the sponsorship level, sponsors may choose to utilize a booth and participate in the parade; however, it is not required. IF PARADE AND VENDOR REGISTRATION ARE INCLUDED IN MY SPONSORSHIP, DO I HAVE TO REGISTER FOR THEM SEPARATELY? Yes! While many sponsors utilize their parade and vendor benefits, a sizeable number of sponsors choose not to. Separate registration for the parade and vendor booths ensures that adequate spots are reserved for those sponsors who want them and at the same time, it allows us to accept more vendor participants for unused spaces. Vendor and Parade slots are NOT automatically reserved for you and are not guaranteed until your registration is complete. It should be noted that if you choose to utilize your vendor space, you are required by the City of Tucson to submit a valid business license as well as proof of insurance for indemnification purposes. Additional requirements exist if you are selling food items. Consult with the Sponsorship Coordinator for these details. Page 7
2021 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IF MY ORGANIZATION WISHES TO REGISTER FOR THE PARADE, IS EACH INDIVIDAUL PARTICIPANT REQUIRED TO REGISTER? No. If you are participating as a group, only a single registration is required with a single point of contact listed. Please note that the point of contact must be 18 years or older. WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT MY COMPANY LOGO AND SWAG BAG ITEMS (IF APPLICABLE)? Logos, payment, and swag bag items are due to Tucson Pride no later than 7 business days after you submit your signed sponsorship agreement and payment. This allows us to add your company to the Tucson Pride website and social media channels (if applicable). Please provide Tucson pride with a .png file of your logo. It should be noted that due to the need to assemble the swag bags, print t-shirts, and prepare the festival welcome banner, that your logo must be submitted no later than 5:00PM on September 17, 2021. If materials are not submitted, they will not be included in the swag bags or on Tucson Pride printed marketing materials. DO SPONSORS GET TABLES, CHAIRS, AND ELECTRICITY HOOK-UPS FOR THEIR BOOTHS? Yes! Each 10X10 space is provided with one table and two chairs. Each 10X20 booth is provided with two tables and four chairs. Additional tables and chairs are available upon request. Requests for additional tables and chairs must be submitted to the vendor coordinator no later than September 17, 2021. All sponsor tents are provided with electricity hook-up. WHERE CAN I GET MY COMPLIMENTARY FESTIVAL TICKETS? No later than 14 days prior to the Festival, a member of our team will provide you with promotional codes for your comp tickets along with instructions on pre-registering for your tickets via Eventbrite. It is recommended that your tickets be reserved via Eventbrite prior to the festival in order to ensure quick access to the festival grounds. Page 8
2021 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WHERE CAN I FIND THE SPONSOR APPLICATION? Sponsorship applications can be found at www.tucsonpride.org, under the Pride 2021 tab. If you are unable to access the website, please contact us a sponsors@tucsonpride.org and we will be happy to email a copy of the application to you. WHERE SHOULD I SUBMIT MY SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION? Your completed sponsorship pledge agreement can be delivered via email at sponsors@tucsonpride.org or sent via mail to “Tucson Pride, PO Box 18675 Tucson, AZ 85731.” WHERE SHOULD I SUBMIT MY PAYMENT? After we’ve received your completed sponsorship pledge agreement, an invoice will be delivered to you via email, through our Quickbooks Accounting System. We accept checks as well as card payments. Card Payments can be made via the clickable payment link on your Quickbooks invoice. Checks may be mailed to Tucson Pride, PO Box 18675 Tucson, AZ 85731. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CASH AND IN-KIND SPONSORSHIP? Cash Sponsorships occur when a sponsor pledges a monetary donation to Tucson Pride. An In-Kind Sponsorship occurs when a sponsor agrees to provide Tucson Pride with a product or service at no cost to Tucson Pride, in lieu of monetary donations. In-Kind Sponsors work with Tucson Pride to establish a monetary value of the provided product or services. Sponsorship levels are assigned according to that value. Please note that Tucson Pride will not accept In-Kind sponsorships for Presenting Sponsorship Levels (e.g. Parade, Mainstage, Youth Activities, or Community Stage/Dance Tent). Page 9

4. All benefits granted to Tucson Pride Sponsors are non-transferrable and are intended for
exclusive use by the sponsoring entity. No pride sponsor benefits may be sold, raffled, or
otherwise transferred to any entity or individual outside of the sponsoring entity. I agree
that any and all unused sponsor benefits will revert to Tucson Pride ownership.
5. I understand that in order to utilize my complimentary vendor space (if applicable) that I
must submit proof of insurance, a valid business license, as well as any additional
documentation that may be required by the City of Tucson and Pima County. I
understand that if said documents are not submitted, that my vendor space will be
forfeited.
6. I certify that I will comply with any and all requirements and directives issued by Tucson
Pride, the City of Tucson, Pima County, the State of Arizona, and/or the United States
Government pertaining to mitigation measures to inhibit the spread of the Novel
Coronavirus (nCOV)/COVID-19.
