Welcome The City of Greater Bendigo is proud to support the 36th Victorian Seniors Festival, which takes place from October 7 – 14, 2018 and offers a range of free and low-cost events and activities for older Victorians. The Seniors Festival has been designed to celebrate you and the wonderful contribution of older Australians to our community and I hope you embrace this opportunity to join with friends and enjoy the variety of events on offer. Highlights of this year’s program include the opening event - The Bobby Darin Tribute Show at the Capital Theatre, which includes classic hits from the 50s and 60s such as Dream Lover. Other events taking place include dance classes, walking groups, come and try days, fun and Eight days of free public transport laughter, information sessions, gardening, for Victorian Seniors Card holders lunches, afternoon teas and even a lesson on the art of flying remote controlled aircraft. Monday October 8 Bobby Darin Tribute Show (opening event) Untold Histories - Rural LGBTI Seniors If you’re passionate about music from the 50s and 60s, then Thorpe Harbour Country and City of Greater Bendigo you’ll be in jukebox heaven listening to crooner Paul Hogan sing Join us for a get together to celebrate our LGBTI seniors some of Bobby Darin’s classic hit songs including Dream Lover, and their contribution to our society.
