Zeppelin flights
The engines whirl softly. The white giant rises gently and
floats elegantly through the air. The Zeppelin NT unfolds the
world beneath its passengers with impressive perspectives
over the diverse landscapes of the Lake Constance region,
castles and forts, colourful islands and majestic mountains.
The 30 to 120-minute sightseeing flights take the Zeppelin
NT and its passengers along places such as Friedrichshafen,
Lindau, Bregenz, St. Gallen or Constance and as far as the
Allgäu or the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen.

Museum as a place
of innovation
Are you interested in the cult object Zeppelin and the pioneers
of air navigation? How did they manage to build an airship
that is almost four times as big as an Airbus but lighter than
air? With more than 1,500 original exhibits as well as histo-
rical sound, film and image recordings, the collection in the
Zeppelin Museum tells the story of airship travel vividly with
multimedia content, captivating more than 250,000 interna-
tional visitors each year. The highlight is the partial recons-
truction of the LZ 129 Hindenburg. The Zeppelin Museum in
the Bauhaus building of the harbor station also has a consi-
derable art collection, which gathers the great masters from
Southern Germany from the Middle Ages to modern times.
Especially through its innovative temporary exhibitions, the
Friedrichshafen Museum builds a bridge to contemporary art.

Situated on the shores of Lake Constance, Schulmuseum
Friedrichshafen offers an exciting journey through school
history in Germany. The varied tour that holds plenty to
discover, begins with the Middle Ages. In three historical
Classrooms from 1850, 1900 and 1930 your travel groups
can experience school as it was back in the days - especially
for “grown-up” travelers that is an emotional experience.
School desks and slates invite you to try them out. Histori-
cal teaching materials and remnants such as pencil cases,
satchels and school bags encourage you to remember your

Always varied
With changing special exhibitions, the School Museum team
illuminates exciting aspects of school and childhood history -
for example, learning to write, traffic education or learning in

Schauhaus at the Zeppelindorf
Living like 100 years ago!
Experience the show house, an authentic working class dwelling from the early
20th century, the inception of the Zeppelin industry, and part of the industrial
workers’ village “Zeppelindorf”. Step into meticulously reconstructed and authen-
tically furnished living quarters from different eras, and learn more about the living
conditions of a working-class family between 1914 and today. In the attic, a small
exhibition illuminates connections between urban and industrial history, and gives
insights to the private lives of the residents. The show house is an ideal addition to
