5 Swamp Willow Preschool Preschool & Children Swamp Willow is a licensed, inclusive preschool for 3 and 4 year old children. The safe, supported environment allows children to gain knowledge and skills through shared activities such as art, dramatic play, music, books, and stories. 3 year old program: 4 year old program: Children attend on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from Children attend on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings 9:15-11:30am. 6 Winter Solstice Festival • Events 26th Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival A False Creek Community Association partnership with the Secret Lantern Society. The winter solstice marks the gentle shift of our planet’s eternal relationship with the sun. This dance of sun and earth has inspired celebrations of the human spirit, expressed through art and music, throughout the ages. Our own Winter Solstice Lantern Festival illuminates the darkest night with a multicultural array of lanterns, fire, singing, dancing, music and story telling. Please join us and add your special light to the longest night! 7:00pm-10:00pm Lantern Workshops Don’t be left lantern-less! Artists from the Secret Lantern Society will help you make your own beautiful lantern. All materials are provided and participants are encouraged to bring pressed leaves and flowers or other decorative elements. Transform a balloon into a work of art!
