Frédéric Mané Artist & Fine Jewellery Designer Frédéric Mané has been on the leading edge of jewellery design for over 14 years. With his design studio located in Vendôme Paris, he designs exclusive, bespoke pieces of jewellery for a select group of private collectors and luxury groups that are fashioned around a rich palette of colours and styles. He collaborates and designs high jewellery for signature brands and luxury workshops at Place Vendôme, allowing him to follow the design process - from the technical, conceptual, and creative process to the fabrication - and all its subtleties and technicalities. His experience is based on a strong, broad-based collaborative design effort, particularly in the eld of jewellery and precious objects. fi
Shimul Mehta Vyas Principal Designer & Faculty, National Institute of Design Shimul is a design professional with more than 25 years of experience in academics, research, practice and training. She is a Principal Designer & Faculty at the National Institute of Design (NID), India and has authored two books- When Jewellery Speaks: Celebrating the Tradition of Kundan Meenakaari (published in 2012) and Jewellery Trend Book (published in 2017). She is also a Steering Committee Member of the Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) which functions under the aegis of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and has been on the jury of several national and international design competitions. She has keen interest in jewellery and has spearheaded several landmark projects connected with the gem & jewellery sector of India.
Preeta Agarwal Jewellery Specialist, Journalist & Consultant Preeta Agarwal, a New Delhi based Jewellery Specialist with an experience of 15 years who dedicates a majority of her time to writing about ne jewellery for her award-winning blog ‘Bejewelled Finds’; and for various leading international jewellery journals. A trained jewellery designer and a photographer, she has also authored ve coffee table books on high jewellery. Her company, ‘Preeta Agarwal Workroom’, acts as a one stop partner for all jewellery & related enterprises, providing exclusive brand consultation and creative guidance for the world of ne jewellery. fi fi fi
Mithun Sacheti Founder & MD, Caratlane Named among GQ’s ‘The 50 Most In uential Young Indians’, Mithun Sacheti is the Founder and MD of CaratLane, India's leading omni-channel jeweller. A certi ed gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, California (GIA) with 15+ years of experience, he is also known as the man with jewellery in his genes as he hails from a family of ve generations of jewellers. Aakrosh Sharma SVP - Merchandising & Ful llment, CaratLane With over 17+ years of experience in various consumer facing roles, Aakrosh heads the merchandising and supply chain function at CaratLane. A graduate from IIM-Ahmedabad, Aakrosh has worked with reputed brands like Procter & Gamble over the years while also experimenting with an entrepreneurial stint in Food Retail at mini Mandi - a chain of vegetable stores. He has been a key part of strategy planning and headed merchandising for jewellery brands like Mahendra Brothers and Bluestone.com prior to joining CaratLane in 2016. Mimi Hrahsel Business Head, Shaya Mimi has been a part of CaratLane for the last 7 years and now heads the silver business, Shaya. With her experience in sales and marketing, she built Shaya from scratch. From breathing life into the brand to deciding on the merchandising mix, pricing and shaping its design language, Shaya has been her baby. Today, she heads the #ShayaSquad, comprising 17 people (mostly women), who are effectively scaling up both the brand and the product love.
Kinnari Shah Head of Jewellery Design and Development, CaratLane Kinnari is a Mumbai based jewelry professional, currently heading the Jewellery Design and Development team at CaratLane. She is A trained jewellery designer, with more than 20 years of experience in the eld of Jewellery Design & Manufacturing at leading jewellery brands in India. Her expertise lies in collecting and analysing consumer insights, innovations in manufacturing techniques and creating well-crafted functional designs. fi
