Comprehensive Mid-Year Funding Report SLIDO.COM EVENT CODE: 8457
MOY Funding Report *Applies to Comprehensive and Comprehensive/IR Campuses only Purpose ▪ To determine if expenditures using Comprehensive grant funds are impacting campus improvement ▪ To help campuses develop a plan of action to best leverage remaining Comprehensive funds to improve student outcomes ▪ To facilitate conversations between districts and campuses around SIG funds, campus impact, and evidence of success
MOY Funding Report *Applies to Comprehensive and Comprehensive/IR Campuses only Submission ▪ Required for Comprehensive campuses that received the SIG grant ▪ Due in ISAM March 8, 2019 ▪ Report template found on Comprehensive Support page https://bit.ly/2DgcWwq ▪ Submitted for every campus identified for Comprehensive support, not a district-level submission ▪ If a campus is not being served by Comprehensive funds, they will indicate “Did Not Apply” on their submission under “Grant Amount Budgeted (Application)” in the template ▪ Phone call/email follow-up will be required and documented in ISAM
MOY Funding Report *Applies to Comprehensive and Comprehensive/IR Campuses only Clarifications ▪ Campuses may use expenditures through February 28, 2019 due to March 2019 expenditure reports not being available until April 2019 ▪ Amended amounts, instead of Original Budgeted Amounts, may be used to complete the report if necessary ▪ Because the application reflects districts amounts, districts and campuses will need to work together to determine the amounts budgeted per campus if there are multiple Comprehensive campuses in the district ▪ Budgeted amounts should include the district allotment. Notation should be made about percentage/amount used at the district level in the report narratives ▪ LEAs should review the MYF Report and begin gathering the resources named in the instructions to prepare for completion of the report
Comprehensive Funding FAQ Q: Will there be "roll-over" for comprehensive funds that are not spent this year? A: Only LEAs are allowed carryover on the LEA based school improvement grant. All other 1003 funded grants do not have carryover ability. While there is not a set cap on how much the LEAs can carry over into next year’s school improvement grant, we do not like to see them roll more than 25% and do not encourage this practice.
Comprehensive Funding FAQ Q: Will campuses that received comprehensive funds be able to roll over unexpended funds? A: Only LEAs are allowed carryover on the LEA based school improvement grant. All other 1003 funded grants do not have carryover ability. While there is not a set cap on how much the LEAs can carry over into next year’s school improvement grant, we do not like to see them roll more than 25% and do not encourage this practice.
Comprehensive Funding FAQ Q: Will campuses get additional money for Year 2 comprehensive? A: They will receive funds, but the exact amount has not been decided. We will more than likely be releasing draft amounts in July.
Comprehensive Funding FAQ Q: What is the deadline for spending the comprehensive funds? A: The grant period is from 8/1/2018 – 9/30/2019.
