flower aromas, as well as citrus and
crushed stone. Some wet bark, too. It’s
full-bodied, yet reserved and toned with
nicely crafted tannins that melt into the

sentori di gerani bagnati, asfalto caldo,
bacche di ginepro, stecca di liquirizia e
olive nere. Corpo pieno, tannini di grana
fine fusi e ben maturi ed un finale
armonico e bilanciato che chiude con un
volume interessante. Bevi ora o invecchia.

There’s an exotic spiciness about the 2016
Brunello di Montalcino Paesaggio Inatteso that
I’m finding quite attractive. A mix of dried flowery
perfumes lifts from the glass, slowly revealing
deeper notes of strawberry and sage. The
textures are soothing and soft, ushering in a
more sapid expression of ripe dark fruits and
balsamic spice. Brisk acids maintain balance
and soften the blow, as a coating of fine tannins
settle in. The 2016 Paesaggio Inatteso is
classically dry and structured, yet with enough
primary intensity to guarantee a steady evolution
in our cellars for the next five to ten years. Very
nice.

Anche nella zona sud sono in uscita alcune riserve,
talune mascherate come selezioni di vigne, molto
interessanti nonostante le difficoltà estive subite da quel
territorio con i picchi di calore raggiunti. Ma in generale
nelle riserve non troviamo quelle spigolature sia olfattive,
sono felice per questo, che di tannino eccessivo
presenti, soprattutto nelle zone più calde, in alcuni
Brunello annata, segno di una qualità della materia
prima superiore.
Quindi possiamo confermare l’assoluta bontà di
queste riserve così attinenti all’annata e al territorio.
Possono sembrare un po’ graffianti e muscolari? Se vuoi
grande eleganza e facilità di beva non venirle a cercare
a Montalcino in annata calda, “testina”!

Brunello di Montalcino 2016 November 2020 The Camigliano 2016 Brunello di Montalcino offers a more robust bouquet compared to its peers, with its dark and saturated fruit. One thing Camigliano has going for it is that it always delivers the characteristics of its environment. In this case, the vines are located in a warm, sun- drenched corner of Tuscany, and the warm ripeness of the fruit is a testament of place. You also get aromas of scorched earth, grilled porcino mushroom and a touch of burnt rubber or summer asphalt. This is an ample 150,000- bottle production. Monica Larner 93/100 Points

The Camigliano 2016 Brunello di Montalcino
Paesaggio Inatteso is a tiny production of just
2,600 bottles, all drawn from a two-hectare site
with sandy limestone, located apart from the
estate's core vineyard block, which the Ghezzi
family holds in special regard. Indeed, the
character of this wine is quite different from the
classic 2016 Brunello. I don't get those heavier
aromas of asphalt or charred earth here. This
wine is much softer in approach with delicate
and pure fruit. Cherry, plum and dried raspberry
cede to light spice and tobacco. Paesaggio
Inatteso means "unexpected landscape" in
Italian, and this wine does stand apart from the
others in the Camigliano portfolio.

Offering ripeness and texture, the Camigliano
2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gualto is a
fun and accessible wine. The bouquet is very
expressive, even at this young stage. I got a
charge out of those shifting aromas of dark fruit,
ripe cherry, rosemary essence and a touch of
eucalyptus oil that lift from the bouquet. Those
balsam herb aromas are well defined, and they
always appear with the prettiest intensity in the
warmer vintages like 2015. Riserva Gualto
shows good structure and enough acidity to
keep those fruit flavors fresh and bright. Only
4,000 bottles were made.

speziatura e balsamicità che si rimbalzano con

Al naso erbe officinali, sottobosco anche scuro e poi una vena fruttata e speziata. Trama gustativa serrata su tannini giovanili di buona fattura. La progressione è ancora scalpitante ma densa mentre il finale è saporito e persistente.
Gualto Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2015 95 PUNTI 1 faccina Da uve Sangiovese. Matura in botti da 20 hl in rovere francese. Rubino leggermente granato. Olfatto su note di pesca gialla, visciole e marasca. Una leggera vena officinale lo rinfresca. Trama gustativa elegante con tannini di ottima qualità e una progressione intensa e rilassata che dona un finale saporito, accattivante e succoso.
