1. PRESS ACCOMMODATION ALLOCATION OVERVIEW
The Local Organising Committee of the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships has secured five press hotels. Four are
near the Al Sadd area, which is in the heart of Doha city, and one in the Al Mansoura area near the old city. The hotels are
just a short drive to some of the major attractions of the city such as the Corniche & Souq Waqif, and with an easy access to
major malls of Doha like the City Centre and Villaggio. The Hamad Hospital is also close by. Other nearby attractions
include Lusail City, Katara Cultural Village, The Corniche, Museum of Islamic Art, and Aspire Zone. The Hamad Internation-
al Airport is about 20-minute drive from the press hotels.
The accommodation price includes breakfast and all hotels are modern and offer free Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception.
Media transport will be servicing the press hotels regularly, ensuring quick and easy connections to the Main Media Centre
and competition venues. Additionally, there will be a Sub Press Centre at the Wyndham Hotel, which is just a short distance
from the other three hotels and a ten minute drive from the Holiday Villa Hotel.

32. BOOKING PROCESS AND DEADLINES
• Initial requests for official accommodation will be managed via the Accommodation tab on the online IAAF Accreditation
Registration System.
• Bookings will be possible until 15 July 2019 directly on the IAAF online system and will be managed on a first come, first
served basis.
• Please note that after this deadline, prices and availability cannot be guaranteed. The LOC will however do its best to assist
with late requests.
• There is no minimum number of nights. The reservation period is between 20 September – 10 October 2019.
• The number of rooms are limited, therefore, it is advised to book as soon as the portal is open.
• There will be a media shuttle between the airport and all official press hotels listed in this Press Accommodation Guide.
There will also be transport between the press hotels and the venues.

63. CANCELLATION POLICIES
The Wyndham Grand Regency Hotel:
• Cancellation on or before 25 July 2019 - 75% refund
• Cancellation on or before 10 August 2019 - 50% refund
• Cancellation on or before 25 August 2019 - 25% refund
• Cancellation after 25 August 2019 - no refund
The Avenue Hotel, Warwick Doha Hotel, Holiday Villa Hotel and Le Park Hotel:
• Cancellation on or before 10 August 2019 - 100% refund
• Cancellation on or before 20 August 2019 - 50% refund
• Cancellation on or before 1 September 2019 - 25% refund
• Cancellation after 1 September 2019 - no refund
*In the case of a no-show at The Avenue Hotel and The Wyndham Grand Regency Hotel, the full value of the entire stay,
including meal plan/breakfast costs, will be charged. The Hotels reserve the right to release the rooms for resale.
