BURSARY POLICY STATEMENT “Our College is a learning community seeking truth by living out the Gospel values through the Catholic faith and by promoting the holistic and optimal development of each person”. College Mission Statement By building on students’ abilities and developing their varying talents, we aim to achieve success for every child in some area of the curriculum. To do this, we must accept differences among students and encourage each of them to find and build upon his or her individual strengths. Our underlying assumption is that self-esteem and confidence, the foundations of balanced lives, are achieved through repeated success, encouragement and care. To achieve our mission, we offer a broadly-based curriculum and a strong extra-curricular program. We believe that only through vigorous involvement in College offerings can students get the best from their education and fulfil their God-given potential. Remissions offered to bursary awardees are applicable to tuition fees only. Families will be responsible for costs associated with camps, levies and other sundry charges. Each offer of bursary is subject to the completion of a successful enrolment interview which requires full disclosure of any special needs. The College Board meets annually to make changes for the following school year, including the number and different types of bursaries on offer. Student progress will be evaluated each Semester and if expectations have not been met, the student will be asked to justify the continuance of his/her bursary. SPORT BURSARY PRE-REQUISITE To be eligible for a bursary, prospective and current students are required to have exceptional talent in a minimum of two sports.
