La Trinité est au cœur de la foi chrétienne. Ce mot savant, qui pourtant ne figure pas dans la Bible, a servi depuis
le 3 ème siècle à préciser notre foi. Il désigne ce qu’a de particulier le monothéisme chrétien par rapport au mono-
théisme juif ou musulman. En effet tout comme les juifs et les musulmans, les chrétiens croient qu’il n’y a qu’un
seul Dieu. Mais le monothéisme chrétien n’est pas monolithique ; il fait place à l’Autre parce que Dieu est, avant
tout, Amour. Si Dieu est amour, il n’est pas solitaire mais il n’est pas non plus divisé. Dieu est tellement amour qu’il
fait trois. Trinité dans l’Unité, Unité dans la Trinité. La foi chrétienne affirme que Dieu est capable d’engendrer sans
