The lands surrounding the Mediterranean Sea are rich in herbal history. Many
of the herbs we use today originated in this region and influenced culinary
traditions. We will sail into nine different herbal ports; some familiar like
oregano and basil, some exotic like za’atar and saffron.

Our natural habitat for many native plants is dwindling. We can help protect

We will look at identifying, growing, and harvesting at risk natives including
black cohosh, bloodroot, wild ginseng, blue cohosh, and goldenseal.
