THE STUDY
WE ATE 9 DIFFERENT TYPES OF OREOS AND RANKED THEM ON THIS
VERY OFFICIAL 1 TO 5 SCALE:
THEN, TO ADD A LITTLE QUALITATIVE DEPTH, WE ANSWERED THE
FOLLOWING QUESTION FOR EACH FLAVOR:
If [flavor] was a notable person, loved one or celebrity, who would they
be?

Ranking
1st The newcomer that is Rocky Road Trip tops the leader board. Tasters loved the
chocolate and marshmallow bits.
2nd The taste of frosting is appealing, and while super sweet, many of us were here
for the Birthday Cake Oreo. (Note: the gap between 1st & 2nd was 20 points!)
3rd Peanut Butter Creme Oreo delivered what Peanut Butter Pie Oreo could not.
The classic combination of chocolate and peanut butter.
4th Firework Oreo demands your attention. Think traditional Oreos with micro Pop
Rocks explosions.
5th It is appropriate that Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie landed in the middle. It
lacked pizzazz, but also didn’t deeply offend its audience.
6th Cinnamon Bun Oreo reminded people of cinnamon graham crackers. Ho hum.
7th Nobody wanted Kettle Corn flavored Oreos. While lacking some of the visceral
reactions of shortcake and cola, this is not a cookie that was enjoyed.
8th Strawberry Shortcake seemed like it would be exciting, but when you smelled it,
you instantly regretted signing up for the taste test.

9th Cherry Cola didn’t have any redeeming qualities and was pretty much ripped to
shreds for even existing.

We liked it! 70% gave this
cookie a heart-eyes or smile
The best around…. emoji.
Oreo really nailed it this
time! The chocolate with
marshmallow bits won us
Makes me think of Lin-Manuel Miranda, an

American treasure like this Oreo.
Famous A List Actors like Idris

topped the list. Standouts in
their own right, just like this
cookie.

BIRTHDAY CAKE OREO
2nd place finish
This one makes me happy - it just conjures 43% gave this cookie a heart-
eyes and only 7% gave it a

PEANUT BUTTER OREO
3rd place finish
27% gave this cookie a heart-
eyes, and 40% gave it a smile.
Delicious. At home, I will literally
sometimes spoon PB onto Oreos. This just
cuts out the middleman. A classic combination of
peanut butter and chocolate.
A few wanted more from this
cookie and felt it
underdelivered on the
timeless combination.
Anna Kendrick, good but nothing really
special. Anna Kendrick was named
because she is good, but
doesn’t always standout.
6FIREWORK OREO
4th place finish
27% gave this cookie a heart-
I feel like I'm eating sparkles… eyes, and 33% gave it a smile.
Not bad!
Katy Perry - not just because of the It comes down to if you want
firework song - but because she takes your food to explode when
you eat it.

thinks will make it better, but it's just weird
and unnecessary - too much!

7CHOCOLATE PEANUT
BUTTER PIE OREO
5th Place Finish
60% were smiling after
Too much ambition, no heart. eating this cookie. No one
hated it; no one loved it.
There was no backlash
I feel like it would be more a prop than a against this cookie. So, is that
a plus?
movie star, just sort of there with
nothing to say one way or the other.
This cookie didn’t even have
enough personality to be a
celebrity. It is just an empty
vase.
8CINNAMON BUN OREO
6th Place Finish
This was the Oreo that I was most 47% were smiling after
eating this cookie. 33% were
concerned about, but it just tasted like a neutral.

Surprisingly, these were
edible and tasted like
Cinnamon Bun is that guy in The Sinner who cinnamon. That is all it takes.

At best we were neutral

to describe this cookie. Not

Kettle Corn reminds me of Robert Pattinson - I
don't even want to see a Robert Pattinson
movie, but when I do, it's fine. Neutral actors topped the
list, like Robert Pattinson.
They exist, but no one seeks
them out.
10STRAWBERRY
SHORTCAKE OREO
8th place finish
54% were disgusted by this
It starts off with a very artificial smell, and Oreo.
then the moment you take a bite it goes from
tasting too sweet to weird and chemically.
The strawberry flavor tastes
fake, or as one person puts it
“gas station bathroom soap.”
Lindsay Lohan - because they look like they
smell weird and are trying way to hard by
opening up a dance club in Greece- so Lindsay Lohan, Tosh.O, and
random! Sharon Osborne were all
mentioned for their
somewhat offensive behavior.
11CHERRY COLA OREO
Last place finish
At first, I was really grossed out by the smell of This made 85% of us barf or
the cookie and the weird red color of the frosting cry.
(it just looks SOOOOO artificial, more like Play-
Doh). Then I took a bite, and it got worse. I don't
know what it tastes like, but it’s not like cherry
