A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR Get Ready for Summer Fun in Ocala! As we look forward to the summer months, it’s hard not to reflect on what a difference a year can make. While we may not be fully back to normal, we are excited to offer plenty of fun-in- the-sun activities this summer. We offer four summer camps at our centers. Whether you are a budding scientist, history buff or want to have fun and make new friends, there is a camp for every kid. Our summer camps have different themes each week, so pick a different camp each week and try them all! Camps run from June through July and age range vary per camp. No summer is complete without a trip to the pool! Our two Aquatic Fun Centers offer full sized pools as well as a waterfall feature, water slide, and zero-inch depth entry for easy access. Swim lessons are available at both locations to teach the basics of swimming and aquatic safety. We also offer Aquability for Preston Pooser, CPRE individuals with disabilities, adult lap swim and a Junior Lifeguard Director, Ocala Recreation and Parks Program. Plus, don’t miss out on checking out our two splash pads! We have plenty of other programs for all ages, from the young to the young at heart. I encourage you to look through our Activity Guide, pick out a few and try something new with Ocala Recreation and Parks! OUR PROMISE At Ocala Recreation and Parks, we endeavor to provide you with experiences uniquely yours in safe places and spaces that captivate and inspire; where strangers become friends and friends become a family we call community; where little boys and girls dream of mighty achievements and their families and neighbors are their biggest fans; where the song of the swing set, the roaring of the crowd and the rustling of the leaves all blend into a sweet symphony; where time and troubles slip away into smiles and laughter. At Ocala Recreation and Parks we strive to ensure the memories you make with us here today will be treasured stories you share with your family, friends, children and grandchildren tomorrow. We look forward to sharing this journey with you. OCALAFL.ORG/RECPARK | 3
