Term 2 Week 6 June 2020 Kindergarten Stage Page It was so exciting to see all of the smiling faces of the Kindergarten students back in Week 5. The teachers have really enjoyed having all of their children in class in person. The online learning everyone participated in over the past few weeks has been lots of fun. The parents and children have made a huge effort to carry on and keep on learning, thank you. Athletics is continuing this term with all of the children learning new skills to participate in athletic events such as high jump and long jump. Term 2 Week 6 June 2020 Stage 1 Stage Page It is wonderful to have the children back! While Stage One have been impressed with the learning that has happened from home, we are so pleased to settle back to school routines and be together again. All the teachers have missed their students! A shout out to the parents for the support of their child’s learning at home during these unprecedented times. We continue to practise good hygiene at school. This includes all students bringing their own water bottle and washing of hands on a regular basis. Thank you to all the parents, carers and community members who have donated to the Walkathon. We are getting closer to meeting our target of $10 000! Students are enjoying a weekly athletics program by Dancefever Multisport. They are developing skills in high jump, long jump, discus, shot put, hurdles and sprinting. Term 2 Week 6 June 2020 Stage 2 Stage Page A big welcome back. It is so nice to see all the students and be able to talk to them in person rather than on line. Learning on line has been sometimes exciting and at other times very frustrating and challenging. But it has been very worthwhile and full of wonderful learning opportunities. A big thank you goes out to all the parents/grandparents and carers for the amazing support and patience. Over the past couple of weeks our learning has focused on the transition from SeeSaw to normal lessons. All students are enjoying the opportunity to learn through technology and face to face teaching. This has provided students with different options to show their understanding and knowledge of the content being taught. All students are participating in the Dancefever Multisport weekly athletics program which has provided great opportunities to develop their gross motor skills, take turns and have fun with their friends. Term 2 Week 6 June 2020 Stage 3 Up and Coming Events Our Public Speaking Finals Stage Page How wonderful it was to see all the fabulous Stage 3 students return to school on Monday. It was so nice to see everyone back at school and keen to learn. Stage 3 are still being safe and social distancing where necessary. We look forward seeing more of your fabulous faces throughout the rest of Term 2! For the past seven weeks, Stage Three have been learning online via Seesaw. The students got to complete short, sharp tasks that were targeted to their level. Stage Three thoroughly enjoyed learning through Seesaw. NAIDOC Week (July 5- July 12) will look slightly different this year with larger celebrations being cancelled. Your donations help to give a family an affordable uniform and raise money to support the school at the same time! GARDEN CLUB Gardening is a wonderful opportunity to be in a multi-sensory environment where children can touch and feel plants and be exposed to the amazing scents of growing herbs.
