STATIONS The stations at this camporee are going to be run a little bit differently. Instead of having the same stations all day long, we are going to have some stations that run all day, some stations that are only available in the morning, and some stations that are only in the afternoon. If you see a station that your troop wants to do, then we would advise that you do it before the station closes for the day. All Day Stations First Aid: Uh-Oh an alien needs your help! Accidentally hit his eject button, on his seat. Can you help him out? Fire Building: Here you are split up into two teams and race each other after you learn the basics of fire building skills. Tent Race Relay: Can you set up a shelter to protect you for the night? These are not the easiest to set up! You’re running out of time! Map and Compass: Can you find your way around a new planet? Do you need to learn how to use a compass before you get stuck in one spot? Blindfolded Relays: Can you complete an obstacle course blindfolded? You will use one of your other troop members to help guide you through the course. Cooking: Cook and try food from aliens. Would you eat this every meal? Scout Law Relay: Do you remember the Scout Law from memory? You will need to use your memory, as you were racing another troop/patrol by using the numbers of the scout law. Patrol Square Knot: Can you tie the biggest square knot without letting go? Here, your troop will try and tie a square knot with a long rope. Knots-Part 1: Do you remember the knots from your first few rank advancements? If you do, you’re in the right place… Did you learn the basic knots that you might use for the knot relay?
Knots Relay-Part 2: Can you show the aliens the basic knots? He needs your help tomorrow. You better not show the wrong one, as he is on a time limit. Morning Only Stations Bottle Rockets: You will learn what is needed to fly your rocket high. Do you remember your skills to build the best rocket? Get ready for battle. Knife and Axe Safety: You will learn proper axe and knife safety in our ax yard. Axe Throwing: Uh Oh... the only thing you have is an axe. You better practice before the alien invasion (Everyone who participates in this station MUST have a signed waiver. The waiver can be found at the end of this manual.) Camp Wide Games Bottle Rocket Launch: You will be given the same materials as all the other troops and the same amount of time. Use the skills you learned, to build the best bottle rocket you can, as we will see who can stay in the air the longest. Scavenger Hunt: Do you remember your GPS skills? You have 16 coordinates, but there could be something wrong. The aliens might be playing tricks to mess with you! As these letters may be scrambled. You better be quick to beat the other teams by collecting all the clues in the fastest time!
