Just a reminder that on Sunday the 8th we spring ahead again into Daylight Savings Time. Setting our clocks ahead we can all enjoy the days getting longer, as we again move towards the Dog Days of summer. My wife Vicki and I were both looking at our OASIS News the other day, and were deciding on what other classes we may be interested in taking, along with our already three times a week exercise classes with Judy Aprile in the Event Center. It always amazes me as to the number, the quality, and diversity of the classes that are offered. I always say to prospective new members, that if they can’t find something to do at OASIS, then they really don’t want to participate. All of our instructors are first class, and are proven leaders in their chosen field. We keep the prices for classes extremely reasonable. Just remember that some of these classes sell out early, so think ahead when making your choices. Along that same line, I read in the paper a while back, a feature article on the Pasadena Senior Center. They were touting their 2000 members, and that they were keeping the annual dues to only $45. As you know, we have between 4,000 and 5,000 members here at OASIS, and our dues will remain at only $15 for singles, and only $25 for couples. We are dedicated to keep this facility the premium Senior Center, and along with our first class gym, our two sailboats, our events, concerts, and luncheons, the opportunities here are unmatched. Our hats off to Celeste and her staff, and our Friends staff of Eleanor Anderson and Berenice Barajas, for keeping everything running day in and day out. We are beyond fortunate to have all that we have here at OASIS! Always at your service, Mike 3
