I M POR TA NT DATES WELCOME WEEK: AUG. 23 - 28, 2022 Welcome Week is designed to help you make a successful transition to UIndy. It’s a chance to have fun, meet new friends and connect with the University before classes start. Events and programming are meant for both new, incoming freshmen, as well as new transfer students. By working with upper-class Orientation Leaders, you will have an opportunity to learn about the social, cultural and academic life at your university. Some components of Welcome Week have required attendance, so be sure to plan ahead. Transfer students are encouraged to attend as many Welcome Week activities as possible. However, they are only required to attend a special Transfer Track program on Friday, Aug. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. SEE THE FULL WELCOME WEEK SCHEDULE. The Office of Financial Aid can help you find scholarships, grants, loans and other financial resources to cover your costs. It can answer questions about applying for aid, your financial aid offer and both student and parent loan options. 2. The Office of Student Billing and Payment collects tuition, fees, housing and other charges. It can assist you with questions about your balance due, payment plan or payment status. PAYMENT PLANS UIndy offers four- or five-month payment plans to manage your payments each semester. USIN G TH E E - B I LL SYSTE M PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND OTHERS ASSISTING STUDENTS The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a federal law that protects student educational records. Due to FERPA, a student must grant access to their billing information by adding parents, guardians or others as authorized users. After your student adds you as an authorized user, you will receive two emails from studentbilling@uindy.edu. You will need the temporary password from those emails, as well as your email address (the one your student provided when adding you to the system), to gain A access to your student’s billing account. Go to ebill.uindy.edu, select Authorized User Login, and follow the prompts to get started. STUDENTS Use the UIndy E-bill Student Account Center to check your balance, view or print your bill, make a payment, add an authorized user or enroll in a payment plan. Go to ebill.uindy.edu, select Current Student Login, enter your UIndy username and password, and follow the prompts. The billing website is also available at my.uindy.edu. You must grant access to a parent, guardian or another individual before that person can view, print or pay your UIndy bills. To add an authorized user: 1. Log in to ebill.uindy.edu, using your UIndy username and password. 2. Under My Profile, select Authorized Users. 3. Select Add Authorized User. 4. Enter the authorized user’s email address. 5.
