Old North Bridge, is a historic site in Concord, Massachusetts spanning the Concord River. On April 19, 1775, the first day of the American Revolutionary War, provincial minutemen and militia companies numbering approximately 400 engaged roughly 90 British Army troops at this location. The battle was the first instance in which American forces advanced in formation on the British regulars, inflicted casualties, and routed their opponents. It was a pivotal moment in the Battles of Lexington and Concord and in American history. The significance of the historic events at the North Bridge inspired Ralph Waldo Emerson to refer to the moment as the "shot heard round the world." JEFF DEMAREY 413-531-3991 Page 11 of 41

TOUR BOOK - DAILY ITINERARY NEWPORT DINING SUGGESTIONS PASTA BEACH, 138 Bellevue Avenue Two blocks South of Hotel Viking. Best italian in town. Known for their pasta and wood fired pizza. Semi-casual. Paid metered parking lot. CASTLE HILL INN, 590 Ocean Drive This was a favorite hang out of Grace Kelly. On a sunny afternoon, grab a cocktail and one of their white lawn chairs and watch the sunset over the bay with the sailboats going by. As a Relais & Chateau property the formal dining room offers a multi-course fixed price menu. Valet parking. THE CHANLER, 117 Memorial Boulevard Fine dining overlooking the beach and famed Cliff Walk. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Award winning establishment. Large parking lot. FLUKE, 41 Bowen’s Wharf This is on the second floor, offers the freshest most delicious fish dishes. Fluke is owned by a husband-wife team that is very attentive to detail and the balance of flavors. They offer a chic wine bar area and cocktail mixologists on third floor. Open for dinner only. BLACK PEARL, 30 Bannister’s Wharf A Newport & New England legend for over 40years. An old sail loft turned restaurant. Definitely try the award winning Clam Chowder. CLARKE COOKE HOUSE, 24 Bannisters Wharf A nautical Newport establishment and was voted one of the top three yachty bars/restaurants in the world. Slightly dressier and collared shirts sometimes required. Save room for the iconic “Snowball in Hell” for dessert. WHITE HORSE TAVERN, 26 Marlborough Street The oldest tavern in the United States with a very authentic cozy colonial feel and it’s rumored George Washington hung out here. ANNIE’S DINER, 176 Bellevue Avenue Three short blocks South of the Hotel Viking. Great for hearty traditional American breakfast and lunch. **Reservations strongly recommeded for all restaurants due to the busy Concours weekend** *Navigating the narrow one-way streets of historic Newport and finding parking for a Classic car could pose a challenge. To explore downtown, we might suggest, walking, taking the hotel shuttle or ride share options such as Uber or Lyft. Most establishments outside of downtown do have parking.
