Block Party Events, 5-8 p.m.
Registration required for neighborhood visits
National Night Out (Aug. 3, 2021) is a great opportunity to get together with your neighbors to strengthen your community,
get to know your neighbors and to promote positive police-community partnerships. Members of the Naperville Police,
Park District Police, Naperville Fire, Public Works, Animal Control, Electric Utility and Water Utility departments will visit
many of the registered events. City services visitation schedule is intermittent throughout the evening. Neighborhoods
can expect at least two vehicle visits throughout the event.

If your neighborhood blocks off a city street, you are required to apply for a block party permit through the City of Naperville.
      www.naperville.il.us/services/permits--licenses/block-party-permit

If your neighborhood hosts an event at a Naperville park, you are required to apply for a park permit through the Naperville Park District.
The park districted has waived any deposits required (unless alcohol is present). If inflatables or outside contractors are used, insurance is
required. Naperville Park District must be named as additional insured and the date of the rental must be on the insurance.

Donation Drive
The City of Naperville has partnered with DuPage Senior Citizens Council for this year’s National Night Out donation drive.
Neighborhoods are encouraged to conduct a donation drive for this worthy cause in conjunction with their National Night
Out event. A donation jar will be provided and online donations are accepted.

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) initiates, delivers, monitors, and coordinates services that promote the ability
of older persons to live their lives in dignity throughout DuPage and nearby counties.

The issues our seniors face – like hunger, loneliness and isolation – are often hidden in plain sight. Part of DSCC’s mission is
to educate others on these issues and to generate the awareness and support needed to bring about real solutions.

While the DuPage Citizens Council is best known for providing seniors with nutritious meals with their “meals on wheels”
program, they provide other valuable resources for seniors such as: well-being checks, health and wellness resources, yard
clean ups, minor repairs, contractor referrals, pet assistance, friendly visits and phone calls.
