Museums in Norway PRODUCT MANUAL 2021/2022
Welcome to Museums in Norway
We are pleased to present the fourth edition of Museums in Norway for 2021/2022. The Product
Manual presents 200 museums and locations represented by 20 cultural institutions spread
all over the country. They offer a wide range of collections and exhibitions that portray an aspect
of Norway’s unique geography, history, art, architecture, music, cuisine and economy.

Regardless whether the focus is costal experience or heritage, mountain walks or hiking, art or
music, suitable for adults or children, the museums in Norway offer an exciting range of events
held throughout the year that celebrate Norwegian folklore, music and dance; the achievements
of our Viking forefathers; the adventures of our explorers, or the triumphs of modern engineering.

Our museums offer family-friendly activities, guided tours, and stage special events throughoutthe
year that enable our guests, (be they travelling as groups or individuals), to meet local residents and
try local cuisine.

Many museums, as indicated in the Product Manual, can also offer meeting facilities and arrange
customised tour-experiences. So please, never hesitate to ask!

With so many locations we have chosen to present some key information about each museum while
referring to their webpages for further details and updated information on prices and opening hours etc.

This version is based on information compiled in March 2021 and subject to change. The last up to date
version is always available is available for downloading at www.museumsinnorway.no

We trust this Product Manual will persuade you to include Norway’s top museums in your tours as well
as provide new and useful information to offer your guests that little extra, making their visit to Norway
a truly memorable experience.
