Congratulations to all the dance groups who competed this last weekend at the intermediate and primary schools dance competition and the national cheerleading competition. It was a very successful weekend as you will read in this newsletter. We had a very exciting two days of school athletics two weeks ago and despite the wild and windy weather I very much enjoyed being part of the year 7 day. It’s always wonderful to see every student in the school giving all the activities a go. Well done. Over the next few weeks there are many things happening here at MBIS. There are a number of end of year concerts and performances for you to enjoy and we have our annual 'thank you' morning tea for all parents and caregivers who have helped this year at MBIS. We really appreciate the time our parents most generously give to help our school be a great place and for our students to learn and grow. More details about this morning tea will be sent out about at the end of the month. Last Friday we had a very successful and fun disco which was organised by students from the Action Group. Students enjoyed not only dancing but carnival activities outside. A well organised evening enjoyed by all; thank you Action Group. Thank you for supporting our staff on Monday with the strike. We know this is not always easy for families. Have a great weekend and enjoy this weather. Nga mihi Melinda Bennett Updating your Child’s Information Please let us know by emailing carol.jones@mbi.school.nz if any of your contact information has changed - Your email, contact phone number(s) or your residential address.
