We say thanks
Amy Brown
On this day, I wish to thank my mother and children. I am humbled,
mom, by the care and support you’ve given me over the years. Thank
you for instilling me with a passion for learning and for doing
everything possible to put me on the path to success. I will never forget
the important values you have passed down to me—particularly hard
work and perseverance. To my boys: you are my most precious
possession and biggest blessing in my life. You too have
made sacrifices and I want to express my sincerest gratitude to you. I
love you!

Callie Bushong
Thank you does not even come close to what I owe my family. They
have been my biggest cheerleaders encouraging me every step along
the way and giving me the strength, I needed. These last three years
have had many hurdles and surprises, but they were always there for
me. Thank you to Chris for supporting me and giving me words of
encouragement I needed, without you I would not have survived.
Thank you to my parents for always believing in me, especially when I
didn’t even believe in myself. Thank you for helping me in this journey.

Heather Calkins
I want to thank the entirety of my wonderful family for their support
and love throughout my educational pursuits – The road here would’ve
been much more difficult without each of you.

Specifically, thank you to Brian for being the most supportive husband
and partner. You made it possible for me to pursue my dreams and
took on extra roles at home so that I could go to school, work, teach,
and still be present as a Mother. You are my rock. Kaden, thank you for
being the best son and cheering me on. I love you both so much.

Jason Clay
Thank you, professors for sharing their knowledge and
experience. Your teaching has served as a guide to this destination.
Thank you, preceptors who have shared their time and clients with
me. Your guidance has formed who I will be in practice. Thank you,
colleagues who encouraged my journey and pushed me to be a better
practitioner. Thank you, Jodi. Your love and support have helped to
form the man you see here today.
Susan Derrickson
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my husband,
Andre, and children, Alexis, Phillip, Kaitlin and Kaleb. You all were
immensely supportive and I could not have completed this without
you. I love you all very much.

Bob Fiedler
I would like to thank my fiancé, Sarah; you have helped me keep life
organized the last two and a half years and supported me the entire
time. To my boys, Benjamin and Henry- I have watched you grow all
these years, you make me so proud. To my Mom and Dad- Thank you
for all you have done in my life. I love you all so much!

Judith Huff
Praise God! I am truly thankful for all of His grace and purpose. I
would also like to express my love and appreciation to all of my family,
friends, colleagues, and educators for the endless support and
encouragement. To Andrew, thank you for your selflessness, strength,
and love. You have been and continue to be such an incredible partner.
Words cannot even begin to express all that I am thinking and feeling
while reflecting on the last three years. We did it!!! Thank you all!!!

Beth Jones
I would like to thank my family who have supported me in this
journey. I realize that there were things I missed in being busy with
work and school, but I appreciate your patience. To my Mom, thanks
for being a role model as both a mother and nurse, your kindness and
service to others has always inspired me to do better. Fantastic four, I
am so blessed by all of you and the lifetime friendships we have made
..you rock!!!! Your support will never be forgotten. Love and thanks

Shawnee Seward
I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to my mom and dad, my
husband Shane, Tom and Amy Ferguson, Terry Sanders, and the
Fantastic Four. Thank you for your love, laughter, and words of
encouragement. Thank you for the tech support, paper critiques, and
the Google Maps dry runs to find clinical sites. Thank you for all that
you have done over the years to make this day possible. I am eternally
grateful.
Sara Utz
Kids- Thank you for allowing me to pursue my dreams. You have been
my inspiration and encouragement to keep going. I want you to see the
value in education and support you with your dreams. Mom- thank
you for being there for me and my family, words can’t explain my
appreciation for you always jumping in to help me. Chris you have
been my rock for the past 16 months, you have supported me, inspired
me, and challenged me to do my very best. Girls- WOW! We made it! I
am so grateful for you all in my life.

Ashley Walorski
I would not have made it to this point without the help and
encouragement of so many people! Thank you to my parents for all the
extra dog-sitting during clinical, listening when I was frustrated, and
unwavering support. Also, to my preceptors, Alex Bikowski and Jess
Magyar, for your faith in me when I had almost no faith in myself. Last
but not least, to my grandparents Cyril & Mary Brooke who were the
first ones to tell me I should become a Nurse Practitioner--I wish you
were here to see it finally happen!

Goshen College Core Values
Christ-Centeredness
 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid;
 that foundation is Jesus Christ.
 I Corinthians 3:11

Passionate Learning
For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with
goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-
control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual
affection, and mutual affection with love. For if these things are yours and are
increasing among you, they keep you from being ineffective and unfruitful in the
knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
 II Peter 1:5-8

Servant Leadership
But whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes
to be first among you must be your slave; just as the Son of [God] came not to be
served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
 Matthew 20:26-28

Compassionate Peacemaking
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
 Matthew 5:9

Global Citizenship
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us
the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to
himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of
reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal
through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
 II Corinthians 5:18-20
