Please discard all of the previous year’s guides.

June 25, 2019 Page 5 of 18 A 1 - CW MIDDLESEX COUNTY BUSINESS SECTOR ANALYSIS • A team of students from the Project Management graduate program at Western University, worked with GIS Planning and Economic Development Departments this spring to preform a sector analysis of all of the businesses currently listed in the County’s business directory. • Businesses were plotted on a new mapping system which categorized them by NAIC and a written analysis report was produced which is now available to all municipalities. June 25, 2019 Page 16 of 18 A 1 - CW NEW CERTIFIED SITE • Congratulations to Southwest Middlesex on the completion of the requirements to have the Glencoe Industrial Site certified as “Investment-Ready” by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation & Trade • Any Middlesex-based site that meets the obligations of the Phase 2 Certification Program can now apply to the Province and County for shared costs in marketing their location
June 25, 2019 Page 17 of 18 A 1 - CW NEW FUNDING PROPOSAL • An application has been submitted to the Canadian Experiences Fund in order to assist the County in carrying out the following Tourism Development projects in 2019-2020: • The development of a Farm-to-Table Culinary Guide • A Tourism Symposium designed to expose Middlesex County tourism providers to best practices and facilitate collaborative offerings • An experiential learning program for Middlesex County tourism providers complete with training on potential market expansion and season extension, inclusiveness, etc.
