Christmas is about giving and coming together to celebrate and
connect with friends and family during the festive season. You can
also make a difference to a young child’s Christmas and share the joy
of the season.
The 29th Annual City of Wollongong Giving Tree Appeal kicks off
with the official launch on Friday 16 November on the Crown Street
Mall Stage from 10:45am. This Appeal plays an essential role
in supporting St Vincent de Paul Society and Anglicare to make
Christmas a special day for all children.
If you would like to contribute a gift, please donate any unwrapped
gifts or gift cards for children aged 0-16 years by 17 December to
Wollongong Central’s Customer Service Desk (Level 1 Crown) or
Wollongong City Council’s Customer Service Team, located on the
ground floor of the council’s administration building at 41 Burelli
Street, Wollongong.

½ cup mixed dried fruit (apricots, raisins, cranberries)

1. Mix the fruit, nuts, onion, salt, pepper and wine. Stuff

3. Close and puncture the roasting bag
4. Bake at 180 degrees for one hour. If undercooked, cook
for a further 15 minutes or until juice from the turkey
runs clear
5. Remove from the oven and set aside for 10 minutes
before serving with steamed green beans
